Job description

As the VP of Product Management for Niesen’s measurement applications, you will drive the strategic vision, development and execution of Nielsen’s next generation of measurement applications. This is a critical leadership role that will shape the future of Nielsen’s measurement applications, driving innovation and ensuring our product offerings meet the evolving needs of the industry.

Responsibilities:
  • Define and lead the strategic vision for Nielsen measurement applications, aligning with company goals and market needs.
  • Oversee the end-to-end product life cycle, from concept and development to launch and iteration.
  • Prioritization of the product roadmap, including a clear understanding of requirements, resources, execution timelines and P&L impact.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, data science, sales and marketing) to deliver cutting-edge solutions.
  • Identify market trends, customer needs and competitive landscape to inform product strategy.
  • Drive innovation in ads measurement products, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.
  • Lead stakeholder communication, including presenting product strategies and updates to executive leadership and key customers.
  • Ensure products are launched on time and within budget, while meeting high-quality standards.
  • Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success and impact of the Nielsen Measurement applications.
  • Ensure efficient and effective product development processes, including agile methodologies and best practices.

  • Skills:
  • 8+ years of experience of technical product management with deep technical knowledge of the advertising stack and direct experience building linear, digital, cross-platform planning & measurement, DSPs, SSPs, Ad servers, Data-Driven Planning, Activation, Programmatic Buying and Measurement solutions in CTV/OTT environments.
  • Experience working with cross-channel measurement and planning systems across TV, CTV/OTT, and digital platforms.
  • Experience with machine learning applications in ad tech, specifically for data-driven, audience-based planning, targeting and activation.
  • In-depth industry knowledge and experience with digital advertising standards and protocols, particularly in CTV and OTT, and familiarity with industry standards such as VAST, OpenRTB, GDPR, CCPA, VPPA, etc.,
  • Experience building 0-to-1 products, leading client discovery, executing test and learn research and adjusting product build direction due to changes in priorities and new information.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and guide cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple initiatives in a dynamic environment.
  • Demonstrated success in driving product innovation and managing complex portfolios.
  • Exceptional strategic thinking, with the ability to translate market insights into actionable product strategies.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical audiences.

    A reasonable estimate of salary range for a new employee to be offered this role would be between $100,000 - $300,000, which would be adjusted based on each employee's geographic location. The position of each employee within a compensation range at Nielsen is dependent on several individual circumstances, such as experience, training, certifications, and other business requirements/needs.
