Job description

 

POSITION SUMMARY:

A Next Step Project Manager is dedicated to enhancing the capacity of Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) and their teams by establishing an effective workflow to address individuals communication needs. The primary focus is to streamline identification of individuals with communication challenges and utilizing AbleNet resources to explore their medical insurance funding options to obtain QuickTalker Freestyle (QTF) devices. This role is pivotal in ensuring that every speech language pathologist has the most effective resources to support each individual in receiving essential communication devices promptly and efficiently.

 

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  1. Manage all aspects of the Next Step Program, ensuring alignment with program goals, objectives, and core Business Development principles.
  2. Support Business Development in collaborative meetings, identifying qualified accounts and launching Next Step Project Management
  3. Lead project planning and implementation, collaborating closely with internal and external stakeholders.
  4. Improve identification of individuals needing communication devices in collaboration with Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs), overcome objections to ensure forward momentum in acquisition of QuickTalker Freestyle (QTF) devices. 
  5. Facilitate and coordinate program meetings with Next Step managed account stakeholders and other external parties
  6. Monitor project progress, addressing potential issues and ensuring timely completion of objectives.
  7. Manage information and project status updates with internal AbleNet staff, particularly business development and the medical funding
  8. Provide continuous improvement through effective management and innovative strategies.
  9. Maintain compliance with HIPAA policies in all customer interactions and record-keeping.
  10. Respond timely to customer inquiries sent via e-mail, mail, fax, chat or over the phone
  11. Achieve or exceed quarterly key performance indicator (KPI) metrics (assigned by reporting manager)
  12. All other duties as assigned by reporting manager

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Education & Experience


  • Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology preferred.
  • Minimum of 5+ years’ experience in a clinical or school setting working with individuals using AAC.
  • Knowledge and experience in funding speech devices are essential, experience with AbleNet funding services or project management preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce), and virtual presentation tools (e.g., Zoom).
  • Bilingual communication fluency, both written and verbal, is a plus


 

 

Physical, Time, Presence & Other Requirements

Physical: 

 Up to 8 hours of computer keyboarding and handling customer correspondence via phone, emails, chat, and/or video conferencing

Time:

 Full-Time, Exempt employees work an average of 40 hours per week.  Additional hours may be required as necessary.

Presence: 

 This position is fully remote; onsite presence is not expected/will be minimal
