Job description

Sprezzatura seeks a Jr Systems Architect to join our growing team. The candidate will work on a team to analyze and document systems within the VA with the goal of reducing Social Security Number usage. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a passion for technology who is eager to grow and develop their skills in a dynamic environment.

 

 Roles/Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the design and implementation of integration solutions between various business applications, services, and databases.
  • Help create and maintain integration architecture documentation and diagrams.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand integration requirements and propose suitable technical solutions.
  • Assist in defining and enforcing integration standards, guidelines, and best practices.
  • Troubleshoot integration issues, analyze root causes, and provide solutions to resolve problems.
  • Support data transformations, data mapping, and middleware technologies in the integration process.
  • Participate in the deployment, monitoring, and maintenance of integration solutions.
  • Work closely with development and operations teams to ensure integrations align with system and application requirements.
  • Assist in conducting integration testing and validating that the integration meets business and technical specifications.

 Skills & Qualifications:

  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Communication skills allowing for both cooperative communication and conflict resolution with government staff and coworkers from a wide array of backgrounds and positions
  • Expert with the Microsoft Office suite of products (Microsoft Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, Teams and SharePoint) 

Other Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, Systems, Business or related scientific/technical discipline
  • 5 years of experience, with 3 years of experience in system architecture, software development, or IT infrastructure
  • VA experience a plus (especially within OIT)
  • Must have excellent analytical skills
  • Experience with programming languages such as Java, Python, C#, or JavaScript
  • Familiarity with integration tools, middleware platforms and cloud-based integration solutions
  • Knowledge of databases, data modeling, and data integration techniques
  • Familiarity with API integrations and microservices architecture
  • Understanding of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and version control (e.g., Git)
  • Knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, Zachman)
  • Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes
  • Basic understanding of software development principles and experience with coding or scripting languages
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and enterprise applications
  • Understanding of networking concepts, cybersecurity principles, and system scalability
  • Understanding of IT project lifecycle
  • Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work under tight deadlines
  • Exceptional communication skills and ability to interact with a diverse range of business partners and stakeholders
  • Citizenship/Security: Citizen/Green Card. Must be able to hold a federal security clearance.
