Registered Nurse/ Health & Wellness Coach

The Impact You'll Make and What We'll Accomplish Together
As a Health & Wellness Coach at TELUS Health, you will provide telephonic health coaching to clients utilizing their Employee Assistance Plan (EAP), promoting lifelong, sustainable wellness. Our holistic program offers support in areas such as weight management, fitness, nutrition, tobacco and nicotine cessation, diabetes prevention, sleep management, stress management, and other common health and wellness topics. Together, we will inspire and guide individuals to healthier, more fulfilling lives.
Here's How
Provide personalized telephonic health coaching using evidence-based strategies to empower & facilitate behavior and lifestyle changes.
Conduct assessments to determine clients' baseline wellness levels.
Understand clients' wellness goals and elicit motivation to achieve them.
Collaborate with clients to develop individualized wellness plans.
Continuously assess clients' progress, barriers, and motivation.
Manage personal caseload, ensuring timely completion of appointments and accurate documentation within the case management system.
Participate in training sessions and monthly team meetings.
Perform project work and administrative tasks as needed.
Qualifications
Registered Nurse.
3+ years of experience in health and wellness coaching or a related field.
Completion of an Accredited Health Coaching Program recognized by National Board for Health & Wellness Coaching or International Coach Federation.
NBHWC or International Coach Federation (ICF) certification preferred.
Demonstrated coaching skills, including active listening, appreciative inquiry, goal setting, and motivational interviewing.
Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to work independently in a self-directed environment.
Excellent communication skills for high-quality client service and effective collaboration with stakeholders.
Knowledge of chronic and comorbid health conditions related to wellness and their impact on behavior change.
Experience with tobacco and nicotine cessation.
Bilingual in French considered an asset.
Ability to work virtually with reliable high-speed internet, computer, phone, headset, and appropriate workspace, ensuring compliance with PIPEDA regulations.
Ability to work 1-2 evenings per week.
