WOW! is currently hiring a GIS Analyst II!

The GIS Analyst II is responsible for expanded use of GIS capabilities, by curating data, analysis, web-applications and mobile tools that leverage GIS data to provide business intelligence.   The GIS Analyst II role will collect and handle data, provide mapping services, perform technical research and analysis as well as scrub through data in cleanup and editing initiatives.

What You'll be doing:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.   • Transposes and transforms complex data from records maps, CAD drawings, city/county land base maps, network modeling and other source documents into GIS and/or related database.

  • Maintains spatial data to reflect current assets and infrastructure for coax and fiber.

  • Assists with data curation for business needs and drivers.

  • Creates reports and thematic maps on data within GIS.

  • Assists in projects by building base data, maps, web-applications, and tools.

  • Supports planning and management needs and studies leveraging geoprocessing tools, geospatial analysis and map production tools.

  • Other duties as assigned.

What YOU need is:

  • 2+ years of GIS analyst experience preferably with telecommunications and market analysis experience

  • Experience with Esri ArcGIS platform: ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Enterprise, Esri Mobile Suite, Enterprise Geodatabases, etc.

  • Experience publishing and consuming web map services. Ability to leverage all data types for analysis within ArcGIS Pro.

  • Experience with editing in ArcGIS Pro against services and versioned databases.

  • Demonstrates knowledge of GIS principles and techniques in order to build business requirements for analysis and application configuration.

  • Demonstrates concepts and procedures in one of the IT disciplines (i.e. networking, database administration, systems or applications support, GIS or project management).

  • Deliver quality written documentation and presentations, including the ability to make technology understandable to end-users through the use of storytelling with the end results.

  • Ability to think critically.

  • Willingness and ability to learn new technologies.

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in GIS, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field or equivalent related experience.
