Description

As a Hybrid Sales Engineer you will be reporting to the VP, Sales Engineering. This role will be responsible for supporting our Sales organization in a pre-sales capacity to drive new logo acquisition, upsell to existing customer, and strategic renewals within your defined territory. You will be responsible for presentations, demos, POV executions, bridging the gap between our Sales, Product, and Engineering teams and our prospective customers. You will also engage with your primary regional partners to drive the uptake of CyCognito within our partner community and build key relationships with technical contacts to keep us ‘front of mind’. Lead overall definition, creation and delivery of technical enablement with our strategic partners to ensure our partners are effectively able to position our services and build value-add services around our platform.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sales Execution: Engage with prospective customers, conducting effective technical product demonstrations and other technical positioning and consultation during the pre-sales process.
  • Sales Strategy & Execution: Partner with Regional Sales Managers (RSMs) to qualify leads, develop go-to-market strategies, partner strategies, and create tailored solutions to key business objectives with our CyCognito prospects. Lead large and complex sales opportunities, engaging with key stakeholders to define the technical aspects of the sales cycle, including product demos, proof-of-value (POV) deployments and RFP responses.
  • Partner Alignment: Deliver technical enablement (training) to key strategic partners on an on-going basis to ensure our partners have effective technical enablement to position and deliver services leveraging our platform. Support MSP/MSSP initiatives and delivery of managed platforms across national and international partners within CyCognito. Provide guidance on solution architecture, security best practices, and the technical aspects of our solution overcoming technical objections.


Required Skills 

  • 6+ years of experience in cybersecurity and experience in senior technical roles.
  • Demonstrated success in pre-sales technical positions.  
  • Demonstrated success in partner enablement.
  • Proven track record of success in SaaS market including enterprise-grade security solutions and complex selling.
  • Deep working knowledge and understanding of malware, exploits, operating system structures and their associated behavior.
  • Deep knowledge and experience in cybersecurity / intelligence / network security based tools and products including, but not limited to, SIEM systems, firewalls, IPSes, DNS, WAFs and cloud infrastructure. 
  • Excellent presentation skills and ability to present to all levels including C-level Executives and Security Practitioners alike.
  • Ability to solve problems, resourcefulness and independence.
  • Ability to manage multiple and complex projects, priorities and deadlines.
  • Experience and confidence in speaking in front of partners and major customers.
  • Excellent communication skills, including English both written and oral.
  • Preferred candidate locations: Chicago, IL area or Austin/Dallas, TX areas
