Job Summary:

The MFT Engineer will work with the Data movement technology pillar to architect, engineer and support the products and solutions that service our MFT operations. This position will provide strategic insight and execute improvements into the technology used to eliminate inefficiencies including process flow, surround technologies, monitoring of health of mission critical MFT and Enterprise platforms, troubleshooting process flow and systems issues, assist in providing global 24x7 tech support, managing platform onboarding processes, reviewing technical hardware and software upgrades needed, and supporting annual BCP/DR test events.

Functional:   

• This position is responsible for managing our GoAnywhere software system, associated hardware and operating systems relevant to the Enterprise MFT function.
• Monitor performance of GoAnywhere and take action on changes.
• Respond to application outages and perform routine maintenance on assigned applications.
• Perform routine changes as assigned and according to change management procedures on the MFT Team.
• Provide level 2 and 3 support for projects and implemented initiatives
• Identify, isolate, and troubleshoot issues and drive development of solutions
• Assist with capacity planning to ensure GoAnywhere is scaled to meet current and projected capacities.
• Maintain version, patch and security levels, in accordance with the strategic direction of the company.

Core:

• Experience deploying and managing servers, WIN, RHEL, FTP/SFTP Environments to include:
  • Installation, configuration, maintenance and managing upgrades of applications.
  • Performance monitoring and optimization
  • Attention to details and thoroughness with deployment.
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills that include:
  • Understanding hardware and software issues related to the application
  • Addressing network connectivity
  • Recovering data from systems failures
  • Automation and scripting
• Experience with FTP/SFTP software ( e.g., GoAnywhere) preferred.
• Ability to work independently and manage deliverables.
• Effective communication and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or related field. High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 3-5+ years of experience in software development supporting MFT.
• Several years of experience in data migration, proving a track record of successful data transfer projects.
• Strong MFT architectural design experience
• Clear understanding on communication protocols HTTPS/FTP/SFTP
• Clear understanding of network segmentation, LAN, VLAN, DMZ
• Experience in disaster recovery, high availability, and resiliency planning and execution
• Strong working knowledge of Networking and Infrastructure capabilities and interactions with MFT Processes
• Experience with scripting and orchestration – Transact SQL / PowerShell/Python
• Experience with configuring end to end setups installations, upgrades, patching and troubleshooting issues

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with GoAnywhere MFT solutions using sFTP/HTTPS communications
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS or Azure).
• Strong Financial services industry knowledge
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).

FLSA Status: Salary/Exempt

National Salary Range: $61,360 - $96,040

Annual Incentive Plan (AIP) Target - 2.5%
