We seek a multifaceted Junior Commercial Counsel to support the growth of Vista’s commercial business across its multiple brands – including VistaJet and XO. The primary focus of this position is the drafting and negotiation of Vista’s flight service agreements, but the ideal candidate with an entrepreneurial spirit will have the freedom and opportunity to work on varied projects across the business.

This is an exciting opportunity to join the international legal team of a dynamic, high-growth company in the travel/luxury space that has been named one of the world’s most valuable Unicorns.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Draft, review, and edit commercial legal agreements (including charter and flight service contracts, loyalty and referral programs, marketing and publicity agreements, website and app T&Cs, licenses, leases, vendor contracts, SLAs, MSAs, NDAs, etc.)
  • Negotiate agreements directly with third parties, including clients and their counsel.
  • Develop a solid understanding of the company’s product and business goals.
  • Provide pragmatic, deal-minded support and advice to a global sales team.
  • Lead cross-departmental projects from scoping to implementation.
  • Assist with the global litigation portfolio (investigations, letters before action, cease & desists, e-discovery, mediations, settlement and releases, etc.)
  • Use and maintain the company’s document, template, and contract repositories.
  • Monitor legal developments, conduct legal research, and advise stakeholders.
  • Support a wide range of projects on an as needed basis, from HR to Tax.
Required Skills, Qualifications, and Experience:
  • Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in a similar role or with relevant law firm experience.
  • Commercially minded dealmaker with a lawyer’s attention to detail, able to demonstrable contract drafting experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; able to translate legal matters to non-legal audience.
  • Self-starter; able to work autonomously from time-to-time
  • Able to monitor emails on designated evenings / weekends (eg. end of month)
  • Willingness to learn and embrace new challenges / new areas of law.
  • Bar admission in good standing and able to serve as in-house counsel.
  • Available as needed to support business goals; can accommodate the uptick in work at end of month / quarter / year

This is a remote position, limited to candidates who are based in Eastern Time Zone states, strictly excluding NY, NJ, IL, MA, CT, and RI.
