Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Managing Partner, the Director of Data & Analytics is responsible for leading and managing the firm’s enterprise-level data and analytics strategy. This role focuses on unlocking the value of data as a critical asset by ensuring the firm has the necessary processes, technologies, and governance in place. The Director ensures that data is effectively collected, stored, curated, analyzed, and leveraged to generate actionable insights that inform decision-making, drive innovation, and create competitive advantages across the enterprise.
Responsibilities:
- Lead efforts to realize the full value of the firm’s enterprise information assets, ensuring access to critical data and analytics for decision-making and performance improvement.
- Collaborate with firm leadership to manage data as a strategic business asset, enabling data sources and infrastructure for various use cases.
- Define and maintain the data & analytics vision and strategy, aligning practices with firmwide objectives.
- Identify data sources, vendors, and outside partners to fulfill the data & analytics strategy, aligning with the firm’s architecture, technology, and information security.
- Responsible for leading and developing a team of Data and Analytics professionals required to deliver on enterprise strategic initiatives and operational priorities.
- Establish and govern standardized data definitions, metrics, and KPIs across the enterprise for consistency and alignment in reporting.
- Develop and maintain processes to ensure high levels of data quality, integrity, and reliability.
- Lead initiatives to define, document, and govern analytics methodologies, ensuring proper metric selection and model validation.
- Guide functional Intelligence leaders to synthesize data and analytics use cases, assign data stewardship, and prioritize insights for business decision-making.
- Advise on AI capabilities, supporting leadership and innovation teams in aligning data and analytics strategies with enterprise-level AI initiatives.
- Recommend and evolve the enterprise operating model for data and analytics to ensure alignment with business strategy and capabilities.
- Manages the Data & Analytics function’s budget, ensuring alignment with firm goals while driving cost-effective strategies across projects, technologies, and personnel.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Business Analytics or other job related major (required).
- MBA or other advanced technical degree (preferred).
- Minimum of 10 years job-related experience, preferably within a professional services or accounting firm.
- 5+ years’ experience successfully leading a team to work together to deliver results.
- Knowledge of Enterprise data management principles.
- Next-generation knowledge and expertise on data insights and business intelligence.
- Awareness of professional services industry and its specific data needs and opportunities.
- Strong knowledge of Data governance and quality

Wipfli values fair, transparent, and competitive compensation, considering each candidate's unique skills and experiences. The estimated base pay range for this role is $208,000 to $280,000, with offers typically not made at the maximum, allowing for future salary increases. The actual salary at the time of offer depends on business related factors like location, skills, experience, training/education, licensure, certifications, business needs, current associate pay, and relevant employment laws.
Individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, subject to participation rules and based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual and Firm performance.
