Job description

About Juniper Square

Our mission is to unlock the full potential of private markets. Privately owned assets like commercial real estate, private equity, and venture capital make up half of our financial ecosystem yet remain inaccessible to most people. We are digitizing these markets, and as a result, bringing efficiency, transparency, and access to one of the most productive corners of our financial ecosystem. If you care about making the world a better place by making markets work better through technology – all while contributing as a member of a values-driven organization – we want to hear from you.

Juniper Square offers employees a variety of ways to work, ranging from a fully remote experience to working full-time in one of our physical offices. We invest heavily in digital-first operations, allowing our teams to collaborate effectively across 27 U.S. states, 2 Canadian Provinces, India, Luxembourg, and England. We also have a physical office in San Francisco, New York City, and Bangalore for employees who prefer to work in an office some or all of the time.

About your role

Juniper Square is seeking a high-achieving, New York-based sales leader to take the helm of our rapidly growing private equity sales effort. In this role, you will lead a team of world-class account executives, selling fund administration and software solutions to private equity GPs, ranging from emerging to institutional managers. You will be instrumental in developing the team’s talent, creating a winning culture, and refining the playbook for how account executives build relationships with investment managers. This role will work closely with sales, marketing, and executive leadership on overall GTM strategy in private equity, making this an exciting opportunity to lead the charge on expanding Juniper Square’s leading position across private markets.

What you’ll do
  • Lead a team of quota-carrying Account Executives, selling fund administration and software solutions to private equity GPs

  • Cultivate a high-performance sales culture, motivating your team to exceed individual, team, and company targets

  • Develop career advancement strategies for top performers and ensure succession planning for the sales organization

  • Deeply understand Juniper Square’s solution set and the customer outcomes they drive

  • Maintain a deep connection to the private equity industry, extending your team’s network by fostering your own relationships and having a presence in the field, including at industry events and conferences

  • Oversee the entire sales cycle, coaching your team on deal strategy and enhancing team members’ sales acumen

  • Coach your team on the nuances of private equity managers, helping them build credibility and develop relationships with GP finance executives (CFOs, Controllers, etc.)

  • Collaborate with Marketing to drive demand generation and refine sales collateral and solution positioning

  • Stay abreast of shifts in the competitive landscape, providing sales insights to product family General Managers

  • Maintain a deep understanding of private equity industry trends and how they impact customer needs now and in the future

  • Forecast team performance, providing clear reporting and actionable insight to executive management

Qualifications
  • Extensive experience in fund administration business development

  • Proven ability to cultivate and maintain client relationships at the executive level

  • Desire to support a highly networked, channel-drive sales motion, through your own network and presence in the field

  • Strong knowledge of private equity fund structures, accounting principles, and industry best practices

  • Exceptional leadership and management skills with a track record of building and leading successful sales teams

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills

  • Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills

  • Proficiency in Salesforce

  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
