Job Summary

The Data Analyst will be responsible for collecting, processing, and analyzing data to support UMPISA and its CLIENT’S business operations, identify trends, and generate actionable insights. This individual will work closely with cross-functional teams to interpret data, help make informed decisions, and provide valuable recommendations based on data findings.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

• Data Collection & Cleaning: Collect, clean, and validate data from multiple sources, ensuring accuracy and consistency for analysis.
• Data Analysis & Interpretation: Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies. Generate reports and insights to support business objectives.
• Reporting & Visualization: Create detailed reports, dashboards, and visualizations using tools like Power BI, Tableau, or Excel to present findings clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
• Predictive Analysis & Forecasting: Conduct statistical analyses, build predictive models, and perform forecasting to aid in business planning and decision-making.
• Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams (e.g., marketing, finance, product) to understand data requirements and deliver insights that support their goals.
• Optimization: Identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, and optimization based on data analysis.
• Ad-hoc Analysis: Respond to ad-hoc data requests, providing insights and solutions as needed by management.
• Data Governance: Ensure that data is handled securely, maintaining confidentiality and integrity while adhering to company policies and relevant regulations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Trustworthy, self-motivated, responsive and sharp

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficiency in SQL for querying and manipulating large datasets.
• Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, Looker or similar.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, advanced formulas).
• Familiarity with statistical software or programming languages like Python or R is a plus.
• Knowledge of database management systems (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and ETL processes.
• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in data analysis, preferably in the Tech industry 
• Experience in analyzing large data sets to identify patterns, correlations, and trends.
• Ability to present complex data insights in an easy-to-understand manner to diverse stakeholders.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks with competing deadlines.
