Here at Labster, we are looking for a collaborative VP of Product to join Labster's Product & Technology organization, reporting to our Chief Product & Technology Officer. You will work closely with peer VPs of Engineering and Design to deliver exceptional virtual science labs and VR nursing simulations that transform how students learn. As part of a growing Product & Technology organization, you'll lead & develop the product management team while ensuring strong alignment across disciplines. An ability to mentor, guide & shape our product management function is key for this role. Key Responsibilities
Work with the CPTO and product leadership team to execute Labster's product strategy across our virtual science lab platform and UbiSim VR nursing simulations.
Lead and mentor a product management organization, fostering a culture of customer-centricity, mentorship and data-driven decision making.
Partner with Engineering and Design peers to establish effective product development practices and ensure successful delivery.
Drive our product planning and prioritization process through close collaboration with peers, stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
Define and track key product metrics that demonstrate educational impact and business success.
Ensure product decisions are grounded in user research, market analysis, and educational outcomes.
Lead the continuous improvement of our product development processes in partnership with Engineering and Design.
Build and maintain relationships with key educational partners to inform product direction.
Guide technical product decisions that enable us to scale our Unity-based science simulations and VR nursing scenarios.
Contribute hands-on to strategic product initiatives when needed.
Work with the CPTO to communicate product strategy and progress to stakeholders.
Requirements
10+ years of product management experience, with 4+ years in leadership roles.
Experience leading product teams and collaborating effectively with engineering and design organizations.
Track record of successfully launching and scaling educational technology or simulation products.
Strong technical background with understanding of 3D/VR technologies, game engines (Unity), and web technologies.
Proven ability to translate complex educational needs into compelling product experiences.
Experience with data-driven decision making and defining product success metrics.
Strong understanding of the higher education market and educational technology landscape.
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
