Position Summary:
The Strategic Account & Sales Enablement role is a highly driven and motivated sales professional who is responsible increasing sales efficiency through process, tools, training, content development and performance analysis. The position will work collaboratively with Sales and Marketing to implement the inbound marketing methodology to attract, engage, and delight customers. The position will help support sales campaigns including planning, list building, content development and messaging. The position will leverage marketing automation to implement drip campaigns and lead scoring to ultimately prospect and cultivate new business opportunities.
Core Responsibilities:
- Drive strategic business expansion and collaboration opportunities with major pharmaceutical companies within assigned customer accounts.
- Operationalize innovative outbound lead generation via channels including cold calling, email campaigns, networking events, and industry conferences to accounts and prospects, with support from Product and Marketing
- Develop lists of prospects and targeted accounts that align with our ideal customer profile and can be integrated into our sales campaigns
- Build strategic relationships with key customer stakeholders (brand leads, precision medicine, marketing, HEOR, data insights/analytics, etc.)
- Research and identify key decision-makers and stakeholders within target accounts, and effectively engage them to understand their data needs.
- Drive outreach to cultivate and create opportunities and relationships with new clients.
- Support leadership with cross-functional team and enterprise projects
- Partner closely with BD’s, engagement and marketing to discover and qualify new use cases and messaging.
- Bridge the gap between the marketing and sales function
- Manage, nurture and work inbound leads vetted and provided by inside sales and marketing.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all sales activities, client interactions, and opportunities using CRM software
Experience, Education and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in life sciences or business-related field required.
- 2+ years’ experience working in the life sciences industry directly with clients in an account management or sales enablement or sales operations role.
- Intellectually curious individual eager to learn the industry, data products and our customers’ potential use cases for genomics and biomarker data.
- High energy, high enthusiasm professional with hunger for success and growth mentality
- Exceptional and professional communication skills – written, verbal and presentation coupled with excellent listening skills.
- Able to operate efficiently in an environment of ambiguity.
- Ability to maintain an outstanding level of market, customer, and product knowledge.
- Negotiation and customer service skills.

- Ability to handle sensitive information and maintain a very high level of confidentiality.

Travel: 20% regional and national conferences. Quarterly in person strategic meetings.
