Job description

The Role
TimelyCare is seeking an experienced and strategic leader for the role of Assistant Vice President (AVP), Brand, Content, and Communications. This role is central to building and managing our brand identity, creating impactful content strategies, and driving effective communications to connect with higher education institutions, students, and other stakeholders.
The ideal candidate is a strategic and creative leader with a proven track record of success in brand management, effective storytelling, creative direction, content creation, and communications within fast-paced and purpose-driven industries.

This is a remote position. Reviewing candidates across the country.

Who You Are
  • You are a creative storyteller skilled at using words and visuals to effectively communicate our brand's value and showcase the unique benefits of our products.
  • You’ve led a lean team of content strategists, writers, graphic designers, multimedia designers, and media managers in a fast-paced environment with quick deadlines and big goals.
  • You have experience building and executing effective communication plans, creative strategies, and content assets that drive response and action. 
  • You can easily pivot between high-level strategic thinking and vision setting to execution with an eye on the details.

  • What You'll Do
  • Brand Strategy & Management
  • Deploy our recent brand positioning work into a complete brand strategy that positions TimelyCare as the leading telehealth partner for higher education.
  • Lead efforts to communicate our brand platform, including our core value proposition and messaging, ensuring consistent alignment across all channels and departments.
  • Drive brand identity initiatives, including logo, messaging, tone, and visual guidelines.
  • Measure and monitor brand health metrics, ensuring continuous growth in awareness and engagement.
  • Ownership of the brand's creative vision and identity.
  • Content Strategy & Creation
  • Drive Breakthrough Creative Design: Lead the development and execution of innovative and impactful creative concepts for paid media, social media, content assets, brand campaigns, and demand generation initiatives. Ensure all creative outputs align with the brand’s identity, resonate with target audiences, and achieve campaign objectives.
  • Develop and oversee a cohesive content strategy that is aligned with our SEO strategy and resonates with diverse audiences, including higher education administrators, students, and other stakeholders.
  • Create and manage an editorial calendar for blogs, thought leadership articles, case studies, white papers, videos, and more.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to deliver impactful content that supports marketing campaigns, product marketing initiatives, sales efforts, and customer engagement.
  • Ensure all content aligns with brand guidelines and supports the company’s strategic objectives.
  • Communications Leadership
  • Collaborate with your media managers within your team to drive integrated PR strategies, aligned with our content and campaign plans. Leverage external PR agencies for large, nationally-focused initiatives.
  • Partner with our People & Culture team to plan internal communication strategies and assist with execution of all internal and crisis communication strategies.
  • Drive proactive storytelling efforts to amplify the brand’s impact and thought leadership.
  • Leadership & Collaboration
  • Leadership in conceptualizing, developing, and executing creative campaigns.
  • Manage all designers, writers, and other creative professionals. Manage and mentor a team of brand, content, and communications professionals, fostering creativity and professional growth.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams, including Growth, Product Marketing, Digital, Sales, Customer Success, and Clinical teams, to deliver creative output that aligns with the broader organizational goals.
  • Collaborate with higher education institutions and partners to develop co-branded campaigns or initiatives that enhance visibility and credibility.
  • AI Implementation
  • Utilize AI-driven tools and platforms to enhance brand strategy, streamline content creation processes (e.g., copywriting, visual content generation), optimize campaign performance, and deliver personalized customer experiences at scale.
  • Ensure the creative team adopts emerging AI innovations to remain at the forefront of industry trends.

  • What You Bring
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Advertising, Public Relations, Graphic Design, Business Administration, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in brand management, content strategy, and communications, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Experience in telehealth, healthcare, higher education, or technology industries is highly desirable.
  • Proven ability to craft and execute integrated brand, content, and communications strategies that deliver measurable results.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills with a keen understanding of tone and audience engagement.
  • Strong leadership abilities with experience managing and developing high-performing teams.
  • Skills or experience with AI tools or platforms
  • Strategic thinker with excellent analytical, organizational, and project management skills.
  • Familiarity with digital marketing tools, platforms, and analytics to measure content and campaign effectiveness.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills to collaborate across teams and external partners.

  • The salary range for this opportunity is $165,000– $175,000 per year, depending on education and experience. This is the base pay. You will be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to the base pay, to be discussed during the interview process.
