Job description

Kiva AI is on a mission to revolutionize the way training data is created and managed. By combining powerful labeling workflows, domain-specific dataset creation, and the latest in Large Language Model (LLM) technology, we help businesses build smarter, more robust AI models. As we continue to grow, we’re looking for a Product Manager who’s passionate about developing cutting-edge data platforms and crafting user experiences that truly leverage LLMs.

The Opportunity

In this role, you’ll help shape the future of our platform by translating customer needs into clear, detailed product requirements and collaborating closely with engineering, design, and data labeling teams. You’ll focus on integrating LLMs in innovative ways that enhance UX, streamline labeling workflows, and improve data quality—all while honing your product management skills in a fast-paced startup environment.

About the role
  • Product Strategy & Vision: Partner with stakeholders to define product goals, prioritize features, and maintain a product roadmap for our training data platform.
  • Research & Analysis: Conduct user research, analyze market trends, and gather feedback to inform product decisions—strong analytical and writing skills are a must.
  • LLM-Driven UX: Collaborate with engineers to design and refine UX flows that leverage LLMs, ensuring an intuitive, seamless user journey for data labeling tasks.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with design, engineering, and data annotation teams to plan sprints, define acceptance criteria, and ensure timely delivery of features.
  • Documentation & Communication: Create clear, concise product documentation, release notes, and internal knowledge bases that keep teams aligned and informed.
  • Feedback & Iteration: Monitor product performance, gather user feedback, and iterate on features to continually improve user satisfaction and data quality.

  • What we're looking for:
  • Strong Research & Writing Skills: Ability to break down complex concepts into concise, actionable insights. You’ll be writing product specs, documentation, and user guides daily.
  • Technical Curiosity: Familiarity with AI/ML concepts, LLMs, or data labeling workflows is highly preferred; a willingness to learn quickly is essential.
  • Early Career or 1–5 Years of Experience: Experience in product management, product operations, or related internships (in tech or AI) is a plus.
  • Collaboration Mindset: Comfortable working closely with engineers, designers, QA, and data scientists in a dynamic environment.
  • Analytical Thinking: Ability to evaluate trade-offs, balance user needs with technical realities, and communicate rationale to diverse teams.
  • Adaptability & Initiative: Thrive in a fast-moving startup, proactively identifying new opportunities to add value and drive product improvements.
  • Kiva AI is proud to be an equal-opportunity employer. We are committed to building a diverse and inclusive culture that celebrates authenticity to win as one. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color, national origin, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, marital status, disability, protected veteran status, citizenship or immigration status, or any other legally protected characteristics.
