Job description

Senior QA Automation Engineer


We are seeking an experienced Senior QA Automation Engineer to join our dynamic team as a contributor in Europe. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both backend and frontend automation testing, with expertise in Java and JavaScript-based framework

 

The impact you'll make:

 

  • Design, develop, and maintain robust automation frameworks for both backend and frontend testing
  • Lead the implementation of test automation strategies across multiple projects
  • Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other QA team members to ensure high-quality software delivery
  • Mentor junior QA engineers and promote best practices in test automation
  • Continuously improve test coverage, efficiency, and effectiveness of automated tests
  • Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback
  • Troubleshoot and debug complex automation issues

What you'll bring to us:

 

  • Extensive experience (8+ years) in QA automation
  • Strong proficiency in Java for backend testing: Selenium WebDriver, Behave (BDD framework), Mockito for unit testing and mocking. 
  • Expertise in JavaScript/TypeScript for frontend testing: Cypress, Playwright
  • Solid understanding of React.js and its testing methodologies
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar)
  • Proficiency in version control systems, preferably Git
  • Strong knowledge of API testing and RESTful web services
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies and test-driven development (TDD)
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Proactive and self-motivated with a passion for quality
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively
