The Opportunity
Within the Mom and Baby team, the Billing Operations Manager will work with the Sr. Billing Manager to coach and develop the team of supervisors and billing specialists to reach new potential. This position will be key to optimizing the daily workflow of the team, while optimizing primary KPIs, such as daily sales outstanding (DSO), write-offs, and rejections. The ideal candidate will come with experience to lean on, but an open mind to grow and expand.
Key Responsibilities
- Leading the Billing Operations Team: Manage and oversee the Billing Operations Supervisors to ensure alignment with the company's objectives.
- Seek ways to improve and maximize efficiency and performance of billing teams and automation
- Gather and analyze billing data, and compare productivity and goals to identify trends and help determine ways to improve collections procedures.
- Provide actionable insights to guide the billing operations teams.
- Contribute to the improvement of relevant billing and customer service processes.
- Provide data driven insights related to business performance used to advise and develop strategies for operational improvements and future business initiatives.
- Utilize KPIs, business performance data, industry trends, competitor intelligence and customer information to inform and support decision making.
- Serve as an internal champion to drive process improvement in operations using internal knowledge and cross-functional team collaboration to optimize across all aspects of the department

- Partner with Sales Operations, Revenue Cycle Support, and Payer Relations to understand guidelines, processes, and compliance requirements across Division
- Work with Customer Experience Manager to monitor online customer communication, phone metrics, and FAQ to determine enhancements in process for best customer experience possible .
- Help to develop a culture of continuous improvement across billing operations representatives and the leadership team.
- Work closely with the Sr. Manager and Business Analysts to scope and submit development requests related to billing operations.
- Work closely with Payor relations, R&D, and Sales Operations for payer testing and automation.
- Prepare reports and recommendations for Division leadership on a regular and as-need basis.
- Monitor daily sales tracker and key metrics to ensure Division goals are being met.

Required Qualifications
- 5-8 years of experience in medical billing/coding, operations, or similar
- Strong collaboration skills - ability to work as part of a cross functional team
- Experience managing people and processes in an operations or sales environment
- Ability to deliver feedback, coaching, and mentorship to other employees
- Strong ability to organize and manage multiple projects and initiatives effectively in a fast-paced and complex organization
- Proactive thinker and problem solver who is able to adapt to the evolving needs of the organization and our patients.
- Proven ability to deliver consistent results and identify key drivers across all aspects of responsibility, including customer service and operational efficiency
- Proficient in healthcare and insurance, as it pertains to billing and reimbursement, including payer rejections, payer denials, payment posting, and compliance adherence.
