Why This Role is Exciting

AuditBoard is seeking a Sr. Field Events Specialist to lead its global field events program. This role involves overseeing the full lifecycle of field events, from strategy and planning to production and performance measurement. The ideal candidate will be a highly organized, detail-oriented, and data-driven professional with a strong background in event planning. This candidate should be passionate about creating engaging, memorable experiences that resonate with attendees, and be able to remain calm under pressure.

Location: Must be located in Southern California, preferably Los Angeles.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Lead global Field Events Program: Oversee the planning, execution, and reporting of global field events, ensuring alignment with broader marketing and business goals.

  • Annual User Conference support: Assist with the planning and execution of the company’s annual user conference, including setting up and managing registration, building the event app, vendor management, team trainings, and handling various other event-related tasks.

  • Event marketing strategy: Work with internal and external stakeholders to develop integrated event marketing plans, ensuring alignment across content, themes, and event vision.

  • Cross-functional collaboration: Partner with various teams including Marketing Communications, Demand Generation, Marketing Operations, Partner Marketing, and Sales to develop content strategy, manage presenter logistics, and implement post-event follow-ups.

  • Swag & promotional inventory: Manage the logistics and inventory for event swag and promotional materials, ensuring they are aligned with the event’s branding, budgets, and objectives.

  • Performance reporting: Regularly assess event performance and measure outcomes against goals, using insights to continuously optimize.

  • Event website management: Oversee and maintain event webpages, ensuring up-to-date content and smooth user experience for attendees.

  • Event timelines & deadlines: Monitor event timelines, ensuring all deadlines and deliverables are met.

Attributes for a Successful Candidate

  • BS/BA in Marketing or a related field 

  • 2+ years of related marketing experience, ideally in event marketing, demand generation, or sales enablement

  • Proven experience carrying out event marketing campaigns including webinars, emails, and social media

  • Experience leading and managing integrated event marketing plans across cross-functional teams

  • Self-starter and quick learner; demonstrated independence and autonomy in a high-performing work environment

  • Strong project management skills and attention to detail

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously

  • Strong work ethic and sharp logistics management skills

  • Experience in working within Microsoft Office, Google Sheets, and Google Drive

  • Event planning experience: Proven experience in organizing and executing  field events with a focus on creating engaging and impactful experiences for attendees.

  • Detail-oriented and organized: Strong ability to manage multiple moving parts, timelines, and stakeholders while ensuring everything stays on track and within scope.

  • Data-driven mindset: Track and measure event success, using data to inform future event planning and decision-making.

  • Collaborative approach: Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, ensuring seamless communication and execution across different departments.

  • Project management: Expertise in running effective meetings, developing clear project timelines, and managing campaigns through to completion.

  • Training & development: Ability to provide coaching and guidance to ensure the team meets its goals.

  • Travel and some work on weekends or after hours may be required
