Tripoint Solutions is looking for a talented and empathetic UX/UI Designer who is passionate about creating intuitive, accessible, and impactful digital experiences. The ideal candidate thrives in collaborative environments, embraces design thinking methodologies, and is skilled at bridging the gap between user needs and technical feasibility. In this supportive role, you'll work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and stakeholders, to deliver solutions that align with user goals and business objectives. Most importantly, you'll be a vocal advocate for the user, ensuring their needs and perspectives are at the forefront of every decision.
Location: Remote. The selected candidate must be currently located in, or willing to relocate to, a state supported by Tripoint Solutions corporate offices: AL, CO, DC, DE, FL, GA, IL, IN, LA, MD, MN, MS, NC, NJ, OH, PA, SC, TN, TX, or VA.
The successful candidate will be accountable to:
- Support the design of user-centered interfaces, workflows, and interactions that prioritize usability, accessibility, and user satisfaction.
- Champion user perspectives throughout the design and development process, ensuring their needs are clearly communicated and prioritized.
- Work closely with developers, product managers, and stakeholders to support the delivery of cohesive and scalable digital experiences and that designs are technically feasible and align with implementation best practices.
- Apply design thinking principles to solve complex problems, leveraging available insights, ideation, prototyping, and testing to create effective solutions.
- Assist in conducting user research using available methods, such as usability testing, analytics analysis, and other data-driven approaches, to uncover insights and inform design decisions.
- Create low- and high-fidelity prototypes to test and refine ideas, ensuring solutions meet user needs and business goals.
- Help ensure all designs are responsive, accessible, and compliant with 508 standards.
What you bring:
Experience, Education & Training:
- Bachelor’s degree in Interaction Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Communication Design, Psychology, Information Science, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Experience:
- 3+ years of experience designing user-centered digital products, with a strong portfolio showcasing your process and outcomes.
- Proven experience collaborating with development teams to deliver modern web and mobile applications.
- Experience working in Agile or iterative development environments.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in design tools such as Figma or Adobe XD.
- Familiarity with front-end development frameworks (e.g., Angular, HTML, CSS, JavaScript) to facilitate effective collaboration with developers.
- Experience with user research tools like Maze, UserTesting, or similar platforms.
- Design Expertise:
- Strong understanding of responsive design principles and cross-platform compatibility.
- Knowledge of accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG, 508 compliance) and inclusive design practices.
- Experience designing for cloud platforms, SaaS, and e-commerce (preferred, but not required).
Clearance Requirements:
