Job Title: Video Editor
Location: Remote (PST Time zone)
Salary Range: up to 1250 USD

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM PST

Client Overview:

Sagan represents a company dedicated to delivering exceptional video content tailored to meet the growing demands of various marketing campaigns.

Role Overview:

The Video Editor will be responsible for post-production capabilities for video, specifically working with direct-response ads for Meta and paid social platforms. This role involves creative editing, adding captions, and ensuring content aligns with current trends on platforms such as TikTok, IG Reels, and YouTube Shorts. The editor will collaborate closely with the marketing team to create engaging and visually appealing content.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Video Editing:
    • Utilize video editing software of choice to create compelling video content.
    • Perform creative splicing of b-roll, product videography, model shots, unboxing, close-ups, etc.
    • Add captions and ensure videos are optimized for various social media platforms.
  • Content Creation:
    • Develop videos for direct-response ads on Meta and other paid social platforms.
    • Ensure content emulates trends on TikTok, IG Reels, and YouTube Shorts.
  • Collaboration:
    • Work closely with the marketing team to understand project requirements and deliver high-quality videos.
    • Maintain organized video files and use Dropbox for uploading and organizing content.

Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in video editing software.
  • Experience with post-production for video content.
  • Familiarity with direct-response ads for social media platforms.
  • Ability to add captions and optimize videos for social media.
  • General knowledge of trends on TikTok, IG Reels, and YouTube Shorts.
  • Excellent English communication skills.

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Proactive and organized.
  • Good sense of timing, pacing, and controlling story flow through editing.
  • 1-3 years of experience in video editing.
  • Bachelor's degree.
