Job Title: DevOps Engineer
Location: Remote (EST Time Zone)
Salary Range: up to 4500 USD

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 12:00 AM to 11:59 PM (EST), Flexible, as long as its consistent, and includes at least 3 hours of overlap with 9 AM - 12 PM EST for potential daily touchpoints

Position Overview:

We are looking for a DevOps Engineer with strong full-stack development expertise to join our team. This role is ideal for someone with 5+ years of experience who thrives in a collaborative environment and can help improve our development processes, infrastructure, and deployment workflows. You'll work closely with our team to build and scale a modern web application and Chrome extension, while implementing best practices in DevOps and CI/CD automation.

Tech Stack:

Backend: Node.js with TypeScript (potentially using Firebase)
Frontend: React with TypeScript and React Router
Chrome Extension: React/TypeScript
Build Process: Vite for bundling
Infrastructure & DevOps: CI/CD pipelines, dependency management, testing environments
Additional Considerations: Experience with event-driven systems, distributed systems, and web workers is a plus

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain both the frontend (React/TypeScript) and backend (Node.js/TypeScript) components of our application
• Optimize and manage DevOps pipelines, including CI/CD automation, dependency management, and testing environments
• Improve system reliability, scalability, and deployment efficiency
• Work closely with the team to establish best practices for infrastructure, deployment, and monitoring
• Ensure seamless integration between backend services, frontend applications, and Chrome extensions
• Troubleshoot and resolve performance bottlenecks in both the application and infrastructure

Skills & Qualifications:

Required:

• 5+ years of full-stack development experience (flexible based on skill level)
• Strong expertise in Node.js and React, particularly in a TypeScript environment
• Hands-on experience in CI/CD pipelines, automated deployments, and cloud infrastructure
• Experience with Firebase.
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform for AI workloads
• Strong team collaboration experience, comfortable mentoring and helping establish best practices
• Proactive problem-solver with a strong ability to optimize development and deployment workflows

Nice-to-Haves:

• Experience with event-driven systems, distributed systems, or web workers
• Prior work with serverless architectures or microservices
• Knowledge of security best practices in cloud infrastructure
• Experience with Vite for bundling and optimizing build processes
