Job description

Mission Overview:

This consultancy mission, delivered through Keystone Solutions, offers an exciting opportunity for a UX Researcher working on a 60% basis. In this role, you will support a leading client in digital transformation initiatives by delivering high-quality user research and project management. As a Keystone Solutions consultant, you will work on-site at the client’s location while benefiting from our dynamic, flexible working model and robust professional development support.

Key Responsibilities:

You will be responsible for:

  • Developing and executing comprehensive research plans tailored to each project’s objectives.
  • Conducting both discovery and evaluative user research using a variety of methodologies (e.g., user interviews, usability testing, card sorting, diary studies).
  • Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams such as UX/UI Designers, Product Owners, Business Analysts, and Concept Designers.
  • Managing stakeholder communications and liaising with the client to ensure research insights are effectively implemented.
  • Championing innovative approaches in user research and ResearchOps, acting as an ambassador for continuous improvement.
  • Organizing, preparing, and executing user tests—overseeing everything from recruitment and logistics to debriefing sessions.
  • Analyzing research data to produce clear, actionable reports and recommendations.
  • Maintaining organized archives of research outputs for both immediate and long-term use.

Typical Activities and Deliverables:

  • Collaborating with project teams from the initial kick-off to shape and integrate research tracks within strategic projects.
  • Proactively identifying research opportunities and introducing new test methods throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Managing the intake of research needs and setting precise objectives for each study.
  • Coordinating detailed preparations for user interviews and tests, including dry runs and logistical arrangements.
  • Delivering key documentation such as research plans, project plans for innovative testing tracks, and comprehensive test reports.

Required Knowledge and Experience:

  • 5–8 years of relevant experience in qualitative UX research.
  • Proven ability to utilize diverse research methodologies within a UX design context (including user testing, card sorting, and diary studies).
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in data analysis and translating findings into understandable, actionable reports.
  • Experience working in an Agile environment is highly desirable.
  • Solid exposure to corporate settings; experience in a banking environment is a plus.
  • Essential soft skills such as teamwork, a proactive attitude, excellent communication and stakeholder management, and strong analytical and synthesis abilities.
  • A visionary approach with innovative ideas to advance ResearchOps practices.

Education and Languages:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree—or equivalent experience—in fields such as psychology, sociology, anthropology, Human Centred Design, or product design.
  • Language proficiency requirements:
    • Dutch – Native level (essential for conducting in-depth interviews, preparing test materials, and client interactions).
    • English – Fluent in both written and spoken form (vital for effective stakeholder communication and reporting).
    • French – Basic conversational skills (nice to have for informal colleague interactions).

Consultancy Mission Details:

  • This is a consultancy assignment executed through Keystone Solutions, working on-site at the client’s headquarters in Brussels with flexible remote working arrangements.
  • The mission is set to commence in March 2025 and will run as a fixed-term consultancy project without disclosing specific duration details.
  • Occasional travel within Belgium may be required.

Consultancy Advantages:

  • Engage in a variety of dynamic projects across multiple client environments.
  • Benefit from extensive learning and professional development support tailored to your growth.
