Position Description

XPRIZE offers a meaningful, remote, part-time summer internship program spanning from June 9, 2025 - August 15, 2025 to undergraduate or graduate students looking to gain work experience in an exciting non-profit organization. Interns will participate in virtual social activities with their cohort, be provided with learning and professional development opportunities, and present a final research project to their department.

XPRIZE is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Strategic Planning Intern to support our Partnerships & Impact team and their development of a new and exciting innovation funding initiative. This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in strategic planning, research, and database creation while learning about investor ecosystems and mission-driven innovation.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct research to identify key members of investment ecosystems.
• Assist in strategizing creative approaches for engagement and outreach.
• Build and maintain structured, comprehensive investor databases.
• Analyze data to provide insights and recommendations for network development.
• Draft written materials, including reports, outreach templates, and strategy documents.
• Collaborate with internal teams to align efforts with broader organizational goals.
• Leverage AI tools to enhance efficiency and optimize research and communication workflows.

Qualifications:

• Strong data management and analytical skills.
• Excellent written communication skills, with an eye for clarity and professionalism.
• Interest in leveraging AI tools for research and productivity.
• Interest in strategy, planning, and research.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask.
• Experience with Salesforce or another Customer Relationship Management system (CRM) preferred.
• Must be a rising Junior or Senior in an undergraduate program or higher in business, finance, marketing, data science, or a data-related field.
• Availability to work from 9:00am-1:00pm PST Monday-Friday for the duration of the 10-week program.

The anticipated compensation for this position is $18/hour to $22/hour. The actual compensation offered will depend on a variety of factors including the qualifications of the individual applicant, years of relevant experience for the role, level of education attained, and certifications and/or other licenses held. XPRIZE is a remote-first environment.
