Position Description
XPRIZE offers a meaningful part-time, remote, summer internship program spanning from June 9, 2025 - August 15, 2025 to undergraduate or graduate students looking to gain work experience in an exciting non-profit organization, with emphasis on experiencing the operational and strategic practices required to support individual, corporate and foundation giving. Interns will participate in virtual social activities with their cohort, be provided with learning and professional development opportunities, and present a final research project to their department.
Responsibilities
- Work Cross-Functionally: Participate in brainstorming sessions and team meetings. Interns will experience team meetings facilitated in the manner of the Entrepreneurial Operating System.
- AI Communications: Support training and implementation of current AI donor messaging system. Work closely with Advancement and Marketing to boost usage of this system, with plans for how to monitor utilization and response for insights. Develop a monthly content plan for donor-facing news about XPRIZE, prizes, prize launches, etc.
- Event Experience Support: Provide operational and strategic support for Visioneering 2025 through building extensive portfolios of donor research and staff resources. This work will inform preparation guides to advise Domain leaders, fundraisers, and Executive team how to best convert leads into major gifts before, during, and after the event.
- Fundraising Strategy and Prospect Research: Complete strategic projects by gathering data, analyzing trends, generating reports, and presenting your findings to support decision-making processes for the Community and Strategic Philanthropy fundraisers within Advancement.
- Stay Up-to-Date: Review industry publications, attend webinars, and participate in relevant workshops to stay informed about the latest industry trends and XPRIZE news.
- Understand and work with various internal systems: Updating and reviewing as needed; Key tools an intern may experience include XPRIZE Digital Resource Library via Confluence, Jira, Salesforce, and Funraise.
- Create and present a final research project to your colleagues: Project topic to be determined collaboratively by the intern and Integrated Strategy and Solutions team based on the intern's area of study and interest.
Qualifications:
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite and Google Workspace (including spreadsheets and presentations)
- Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills
- Excellent attention to detail and problem solving skills
- Passion for solving global issues
- Must be a rising Junior or Senior in an undergraduate program or higher in a related field
- Availability to work from 9:00am-1:00pm PST Monday-Friday for the duration of the 10-week program

The anticipated compensation for this position is $18/hour to $22/hour. The actual compensation offered will depend on a variety of factors including the qualifications of the individual applicant, years of relevant experience for the role, level of education attained, and certifications and/or other licenses held. XPRIZE is a remote-first environment.
