Job description

LightFeather is currently seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with configuration management, CI/CD, cloud infrastructure, and Linux administration. You will be responsible for automating and optimizing our deployment pipelines, managing infrastructure as code, and ensuring system reliability.

This is a Full Time, Remote Position.

Responsibilities:

Implement and maintain machine configuration using Ansible.
Develop and maintain Jenkins pipelines and leverage NodeJS for tooling.
Manage and deploy AWS infrastructure, particularly EC2 instances, using Terraform.
Ensure system stability and performance by administering Red Hat Linux environments.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline deployments and improve system efficiency.
Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize system performance, automation scripts, and deployment workflows.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

US Citizenship.
Ability to obtain and maintain clearance at the Public Trust level or above. Active or prior clearance is preferred.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
3+ years of experience in DevOps, System Administration, or related roles.
Strong expertise in Ansible for configuration management.
Experience with Jenkins for CI/CD pipeline automation.
Proficiency in NodeJS for building and maintaining tools.
Hands-on experience with AWS (EC2, IAM, S3, VPC, etc.) and Terraform for infrastructure as code.
Deep understanding of Red Hat Linux administration, troubleshooting, and security best practices.

Preferred:

Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
Scripting proficiency in Bash and/or Python.
Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK Stack.
