Summary:
The Accounting Manager is a key operational accounting employee reporting to the AVP, Assistant Controller for Beal Bank. This position will assist the Controller and Assistant Controller in managing the completion of daily accounting activities, as well as the monthly close process.
This is an on-site (non-remote) position based at our Plano, TX headquarters location.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
- Manage many of the day-to-day accounting operations to ensure accuracy and efficiency
- Assist with the monthly close process, including reviewing and approving journal entries, monthly reconciliations, and various reports prepared by senior and staff accountants
- Maintain a daily and monthly close checklist to track the completion of required accounting activity
- Assist with internal and external audits, as well as regulatory exam requests
- Assist with ad hoc projects as assigned
Qualifications (Education, Computer Skills, Certifications, etc.):
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field
- A minimum of seven (7) years of accounting experience
- Self-starter with a desire to learn and ability to problem-solve
- Advanced excel skills and the ability to analyze large data sets required
- Ability to work collaboratively as well as independently
- Professional, positive attitude and demeanor
