JOB SUMMARY
The Visual Artist will support the visualization team through dynamic visuals and graphic designs, while coordinating across all departments as the firm’s enhanced graphical needs continue to expand. This position will concentrate on an intense use of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects and Premiere Pro for the production of a vast range of visual projects. Everyday assisted tasks may span from designing infographics, marketing materials, and branding assets to developing promotional videos, logos, and interactive content for both internal and external use.

The Visual Artist will receive general instructions on routine work, detailed instructions on new projects or assignments. May work independently or under immediate supervision. May serve as trade lead on routine projects of limited scope.
The Visual Artist will communicate and operate in line with organizational goals and values, as well as departmental objectives.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Assist in Visualizations and Graphic Design (95%)
- Create logos, icons and miscellaneous graphics
- Develop a wide range of marketing material, from infographics to event banners
- Organize and maintain libraries of all graphics and marketing material
- Create, organize and maintain templates of company-wide programs
- Create and implement company branding material in programs such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Enhance project animations with various layers of effects, transitions and supporting graphics
- Create a vast range of promo videos
- Produce miscellaneous videos for in-house presentations
- Compose interactive content for in-house tips, guides and training
- Create and maintain basic HTML web content
- Create, review and visually enhance in-house and project related PowerPoint presentations
Reporting (5%)
- Prepare project progress reports for internal and external stakeholders
Completion of Assigned Tasks and Deliverables on Time and on Budget
Performs Other Related Duties as Assigned
Requirements
POSITION REQUIREMENTS (BEGINNER LEVEL FOR ALL THE FOLLOWING UNLESS AS NOTED)
- Knowledge and understanding of compositional and spatial awareness
- Intermediate knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, and Premiere Pro
- Intermediate knowledge of MS Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Fundamental knowledge of HTML
- Experience with Mail Chimp a plus
- Skilled at MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams), along with exceptional organizational skills for file management
- Ability to learn and adapt to new programs to fulfill regular tasks
- Skilled in completing assignments accurately and with high attention to detail
- Ability to work successfully in a remote environment through effective communication and organizational skills, self-motivation, proactiveness and resourcefulness in a distraction free workspace
- Ability to work with engineers, designers, drafters and the visualization staff as part of a design team
- Ability to work with engineers to incorporate MEP design into visualizations
- Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form (technical and non-technical information)
- Ability to work successfully as a member of a team and independently with moderate supervision
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Ability to think out of the box and come up with unusual or clever ideas about a given topic or situation, or to develop creative ways to solve a problem.

TRAVEL / RELOCATION REQUIREMENTS
- Up to 5%, this may include travel to any or all 50 US states
- Travel is defined as physically leaving home on behalf of business activities including but not limited to client sites, meetings with other employees, meeting for business development purposes, running errands on behalf of the business, attending industry conferences, etc.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Fine Arts or related field
OR
- Two years of experience using Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, and Premier Pro
