Your role
In this role you will be at the point of contact for the On-Site Vanderlande and Subcontractor team and your role is pivotal in ensuring the seamless execution of the SCS equipment, from training, start to completion.
You will be part of the On-Site Vanderlande Installation team and manage the subcontracted scope of work, while they are engaged in the construction, installation, testing, and commissioning of SCS Equipment.
You will report to the Site Manager and collaborate with Mechanical and Electrical Supervisors with whom you are ultimately responsible for the project execution.
Key responsibilities:
- Responsible for on-site installation activities of the Cross sorter EQ on complex projects
- Create a safe working environment during the whole project phase
- Creates the SCS “installation” plan logistic plan and time schedule
- Leads the preparation of the start-up of the installation of the SCS equipment
- Delegate responsibility of the installation towards installation teams
- Check ahead on scheduled activities to prevent inefficiency
- Work according the process map and manuals
- Perform quality checks on installation and the processes
- Provide proper feedback about progress and status
- Create and support a high quality hand over to commissioning
- Support commissioning during the testing phase
- Organize all site related activities for the SCS scope until handover to customer
- Manage all scope related costs and work within the budgets

- 5 years of relevant working experience in medium to large projects;
- Knowledge of Material Handling equipment;
- Must have reliable transportation and be able to work 7 days, as needed
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Able to obtain necessary badging required for all project assignments, such as TSA badging to work on Airports
- Knowledge of Microsoft office software
- Ability to read blueprints, schematic drawings and engineering specifications, and understand how to read and interpret technical manuals in order to determine work procedures

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
- This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, 40 plus hours a week, overtime is paid after 40 hours. Must be willing to work 7 days a week with paid overtime.
Travel:
- This position may require up to 100% travel.

- May require picking up, lifting, carrying, and moving up to 50lbs.
- Will work at heights, climb ladders and stairways, and may occasionally work from platforms/scaffolding using the appropriate fall protection requirements
- Working in all weather conditions (including heat, rain, cold and wind) while wearing appropriate PPE
- Frequent exposure to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration and high noise levels
- Wearing personal protective equipment (PPE), including but not limited to hard hat, safety glasses/goggles, ear plugs, masks/respirators, hi-vis safety vests, leather gloves, and leather steel-toed work boots

This is a full-time, non-exempt position, eligible to receive an hourly rate and to participate in an annual performance bonus program. The salary range listed represents the maximum and minimum starting base pay for this position as of the time of posting. Final salary offered will be determined based on factors including but not limited to the candidate's skills and experience. The annual performance bonus program is preset and not candidate-dependent.
Hourly rate: $34.20- $38.00
