Job description

We are seeking a Laboratory Quality Coordinator to join IQVIA Laboratories at Ithaca, NY.

The Lab Quality Coordinator is responsible for assisting with lab quality control processes, including Binder and Data Table Quality Control reviews.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Providing Quality Control (QC) documentation support to operations.

  • Performing QC review of lab documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance with applicable regulations and SOPs.

  • Assisting in the preparation of audits by coordinating documentation and performing a quality review to ensure completion.

  • Preparing and coordinating quality control educational programs: in-house workshops, presentations, training, and seminars for new hires and existing staff.

  • Managing and scheduling all assigned quality control projects alongside coworkers and the manager.

  • Assisting with lab quality process improvement initiatives.

  • Participating in QC and company staff meetings to discuss findings and recommendations for resolving non-compliance.

  • Coordinating and reviewing documentation of initial training and competency assessments for upload to the electronic filing system.

  • Tracking and reporting deviation QC trends to management.

  • Continuing education through self-study, attending training sessions, lectures, and meetings.

  • Supporting safety, quality, and 6S requirements and initiatives.

  • Complying with the company's procedures and regulatory requirements, as applicable.

What we are looking for:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.

  • 6 months of experience in a regulated laboratory environment.

  • Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree.

  • Basic knowledge of laboratory quality systems and laboratory procedures.

  • Basic knowledge of laboratory good documentation practices.

The knowledge, skills, and abilities needed for this role:

  • Good computer skills using Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.

  • Capable of handling multiple tasks simultaneously.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, managers, and clients.

The potential base pay range for this role, when annualized, is $47,600.00 - $79,300.00. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time). Dependent on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered, in addition to a range of health and welfare and/or other benefits.
