Job description

Position Summary:
The Reporting Analyst is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI and Tableau. This role involves analyzing large datasets to extract meaningful business insights, collaborating with stakeholders to define reporting requirements, and ensuring data integrity and accuracy. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills in data visualization, SQL, and ETL processes, with a preference for experience in operational and financial datasets within a workforce or rostering environment.

Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI and Tableau.
Analyze large datasets to identify trends, insights, and key business metrics.
Engage with business stakeholders to understand reporting needs and translate them into actionable data visualizations.
Ensure alignment of critical business metrics across various stakeholders, including C-suite executives and working groups.
Collaborate with IT teams to develop data solutions and optimize reporting frameworks.
Maintain data integrity, accuracy, and consistency across reports and dashboards.
Automate reporting processes to improve efficiency and minimize manual effort.
Troubleshoot and resolve data and reporting issues in a timely manner.
Provide training and support to end-users on reporting tools and dashboards.

Qualifications:

Proficiency in Power BI and Tableau, including dashboard creation, data modeling, and DAX calculations.
Strong SQL skills for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.
Familiarity with data warehouse and data lake technologies such as Azure or AWS data pipelines.
Experience with ETL processes and data warehousing concepts.
Experience working with operational and financial datasets within a workforce or rostering environment (preferred).
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and presentation abilities to engage with stakeholders effectively.
Experience with Python or R for data analysis (preferred).
