Who we are is what we do.
Deel and our family of growing companies are made up of global teams dedicated to helping businesses hire anyone, anywhere, easily.
The team comprises over three thousand self-driven individuals spanning over 100 countries, and our unified yet diverse culture keeps us continually learning and innovating the platform and products for customers.
Companies should be able to hire the best talent anywhere in the world, so we are building the best platform to make that a reality. Our market-leading technology, expertise, and global team are crucial to the platform’s success. We deliver the best products and features in our space, enabling millions of jobs worldwide and connecting the global workforce with the best companies and opportunities.
Why should you be part of our success story?
A 30-mile hiring radius should no longer dictate how companies hire because exceptional talent lives everywhere. Deel sees a world without hiring borders and endless talent that pairs perfect candidates with great companies.
We offer global teams all the tools they need to hire, onboard, manage, pay, and scale at full speed. We aim to foster a diverse global economy by building a generational platform that seamlessly connects companies with talent worldwide.
After our successful Series D in 2021, we raised another $50M in 2023, doubling our valuation to $12B. There’s never been a more exciting time to join Deel — the international payroll and compliance market leader.
About the Role
As a Lead Product Designer, you will be at the heart of shaping exceptional digital experiences that impact millions of users globally. You will drive the vision, strategy, and execution of product design, transforming complex problems into elegant, user-centric solutions. Partnering closely with Product, Engineering, and cross-functional teams, you will lead with influence, mentor with expertise, and design with precision.
This is a managerial role, where you will empower and mentor multiple Product Designers, but you must also be a hands-on leader—willing to roll up your sleeves and contribute as an IC when needed, working alongside your team to push the boundaries of innovation.
This is an opportunity to build and scale world-class design solutions, elevate the design culture, and make a lasting impact on how people work across the globe.
What You’ll Do
1. Lead, Inspire & Empower
Empower and mentor multiple Product Designers, helping them grow in their careers and drive impactful design work.
Collaborate with your Product and Engineering counterparts to ensure the teams you are responsible for are on track to deliver the work planned in the roadmap while also fostering a culture of innovation.
Play a key role in attracting, retaining, and hiring top design talent when needed.
Actively contribute to building a high-performing, engaged, and motivated design team.
2. Shape & Innovate
Set and drive the design vision for your product area, ensuring alignment with business goals while maintaining a high UX standard.
Guide and empower your team to deeply analyze user behavior, identify customer pain points, and craft scalable, world-class solutions.
Collaborate with cross-functional leaders (Product, Engineering, and Business) to shape the strategy and influence key decisions.
Ensure consistency and scalability by leading the evolution of design standards and frameworks across multiple platforms, including employee portals, employer dashboards, and admin interfaces.
Balance leadership with hands-on work—while your primary focus is on coaching and guiding your team, you should be willing to step in as an IC when needed to unblock challenges, refine critical design work, or push key initiatives forward.
Be the champion of a user-centered, data-driven approach—leveraging research, insights, and design thinking to create seamless and elegant experiences.
3. Own & Deliver
Take end-to-end ownership of your work, from ideation and prototyping to high-fidelity design and final product execution.
Define the logic and update acceptance criteria to ensure clarity in development.
Work autonomously, balancing deep craftsmanship with fast execution—knowing when to refine and when to ship.
Partner with developers to embed design into the development process, ensuring pixel-perfect execution and a flawless user experience.
Conduct design QA and post-release feedback loops, making continuous improvements to shipped products.
4. Align & Influence
Co-lead your squad with Product Managers and Engineers, ensuring seamless collaboration.
Drive the design vision for your product, setting the bar for innovation, usability, and scalability.
Be a force multiplier, helping designers and teams elevate their work beyond expectations.
Advocate for design-led thinking, influencing the company’s broader strategy through user-centered insights.
Drive cross-functional alignment, collaborating with leadership to push the boundaries of what’s possible.
Above all—be part of Deel journey that redefines how people work across the world.
