We have a rare part-time opportunity in our Melbourne office for an individual looking to utilise their workers compensation claims expertise to support our new case managers as they transition into the business.
As a Transition Support Officer your focus is to instruct, coach, and support case managers who are new to the Victorian Workers Compensation industry, and to ensure their engagement and retention during the development of their case management careers.
About the role
- Develop, implement, and maintain a coaching and review program that provides each new case manager with the knowledge required to become competent in their role
- Support the development of case managers, including knowledge, systems and process understanding
- Perform continuous assessments of case managers claims portfolios, ensuring work undertaken is prioritised in line with agreed service and work completion standards.
- Undertake work tasks that are required to be completed within agreed service levels to ensure the portfolio remains up to date, to support the transitioning case managers
- Develop, implement, and maintain a review program that provides a continuous feedback opportunity with the case managers and their team leaders
- Provide input, and attendance, where required, into the probation and performance discussions that are undertaken between Team Managers and Case Managers
- Engage other areas of the business to support identified improvement needs as they arise
- Collaborate with Training, Traineeship and Learning and Development teams to
- improve case manager traineeship and development programs
- Maintain case management knowledge, including technical and service expertise, in
- line with current process requirements and best practice approaches to case management
- Commit to continuously improving coaching capability through professional development opportunities
About you
- Comprehensive knowledge of the Victorian Workers Compensation Scheme.
- Ability to plan and prioritise effectively to manage competing resources and demands
- Demonstrated ability to lead, coach and empower people to develop individual and team potential
- Ability to identify and implement business improvement initiatives
