As a Vice President, New Client Development on the Traditional Wealth Planning team, you’ll play a pivotal role by helping define and driving the implementation of strategies to drive New Client Inflows (NCI) through our Wealth Planning teams.

For this VP, New Client Development role, we are seeking a candidate with proven ability to lead transformational change with a complex and diverse employee and client base. Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Wealth Planning leadership to define the key priorities for the New Client Development team in support of transformational growth for our Wealth Planning business with a specific focus on prospect-to-client conversion.
  • Collaborate with Wealth Planning leadership and other key stakeholders to understand the current landscape of client and planning team needs to influence prioritization and implementation of New Client Inflows (NCI) initiatives.
  • Execute on key initiatives for successful client conversions to meet or exceed metrics-based goals outlined in the financial model.
  • Responsible for recruiting and hiring within the New Client Development organization.
  • Oversight of new employee and ongoing educational training initiatives impacting the New Client Development organization.
  • Collaborate with Finance and HR organizations to manage financial budgets.
  • Collaborate on and make decisions with HR, Legal, and other groups regarding employee and process-related issues and policies.
  • Investigate and resolve prospect / client evaluations and escalations.
  • Drive a culture of metrics orientation and enable collaborative behaviors that drive results.
  • Articulate the client acquisition journey and measures to key stakeholders and teams whereby fostering engagement and connection to growth initiatives.

 

Requirements:

·           10+ years of experience in leadership roles in the Financial Services industry

·           Innovative thinker and collaborative problem solver

·           Ability to enable change through strong communication and action planning

·           Strong leader that deploys diplomacy while leading collaboratively and cross-functionally

·           Executional expertise in diagnosing operational opportunities and introducing solutions

·           Creates a culture of engagement, professional growth and promotes successful outcomes

·           Series 65 required; CFP desired

 

 

Edelman Financial Engines takes a market-based approach to pay. The expected base salary range for this role nationally is $188,000 - $250,000. However, final base pay will be carefully determined based on several factors, including responsibilities, job-related skills, relevant experience, geographic location, and market conditions. Additionally, this role may be eligible for other forms of compensation and benefits, such as a discretionary bonus, health, dental and other wellness plans, and 401(k) contributions.
