What we do MATTERS -- we aim to attract, empower and hire top talent early in their careers into opportunities at Confluent. Your internship will be a hybrid working model that introduces you to Confluent's culture and enables faster learning, onboarding, and coaching. At the time of your start date, you will be required to be located in the location on your offer letter.  You and your fellow interns will have access to office space to collaborate in person for a required two days a week. This internship requires a working, reliable internet connection and a quiet, dedicated workspace. You will be required to work from your Austin-based home location three times per week.
As part of the Early Career Recruiting Team this summer, your impact will be integral to assisting us in strategizing, coordinating, and executing a successful global hybrid internship program in Toronto, Canada, and Austin, Texas. This position offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in recruitment practices and talent management within a vibrant, fast-paced environment. 

    What You Will Do:

    • You will partner seamlessly with the recruiting team to ensure a positive and engaging experience for all interns in the summer program by facilitating smooth communication, providing timely updates, and acting as a brand ambassador
    • Running in-person and virtual events for our North America based internship program as the team’s point of contact on the ground
    • Maintain wiki pages, onboarding resources, and intern program materials
    • Contribute to the creation of engaging content and material aimed at attracting campus talent, including social media posts, promotional emails, and informational brochures
    • Help maintain candidate databases and tracking systems, providing support in compiling and analyzing recruitment metrics  and intern program management details to enhance future recruiting efforts

    What You Will Bring:

    •  Currently a 3rd year undergrad or 1st year masters candidate pursuing a degree (preferably) in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
    • Highly motivated, with a willingness to take initiative and work collaboratively in a team environment
    • Demonstrated leadership and involvement in campus organizations or activities 
    • You can execute a hiring plan with clear deliverables, timelines and strategies to source and hire underrepresented talent
    • You possess strong time-management skills, critical thinking skills, and ability to multitask /maintain focus
    • You undertake projects and tasks with an attention to detail coupled with a sense of urgency and are a quick learner
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a team-oriented attitude and the ability to work collaboratively
