Job description

The Granicus Experience Group (GXG) is Granicus’ in-house digital agency, a cross-functional team of strategists, analysts, communicators and Granicus technology experts focused on customer experience and digital communications. GXG is a fast-growing agency within Granicus - a high-growth tech company specializing in civic engagement software and platforms for government. GXG is hiring a Data & Insights Consultant to operationalize, analyze and measure performance of campaigns within a strategic digital communications program. The ideal candidate will have expertise in reporting on multi-channel outreach and conveying actionable insights and optimization recommendations in a cohesive, customer-friendly manner.  
 
Our Data & Insights Consultants digest and analyze data and derive insights, which they build into custom reports and dashboard visualizations, to convey a narrative in line with our customers’ digital communications goals and priorities, applying intuition and experience to lead to actionable recommendations.  
 
Strong candidates are highly strategic, very comfortable with numbers, and able to communicate the narrative that the numbers are showing effectively and calmly, even under deadline pressure and with customers. Candidates should have experience analyzing multi-channel outreach and segment behavior, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on how best to demonstrate results to our customers, and convey actionable insights and optimization recommendations in a cohesive, customer-friendly manner. Top candidates will have strong experience in building actionable, client-facing dashboards.

* Due to security requirements (Special Sworn Status in the US), this position requires U.S. Citizenship. Additionally, you must have been a resident of the U.S. during at least 36 months of the last 60. Also, once cleared and approved for access, all researchers must continue to reside in the U.S. or its territories. These requirements are due to the support this role gives to US Census Bureau.

  • What your impact will look like:
  • Closely collaborate with GXG multi-disciplinary teams, vendor partners and client contacts to operationalize and measure performance of campaigns and drive strategic recommendations for optimizations 
  • Create detailed reports and dashboard visualizations, often with data sets from multiple sources,whichshowcase Granicus’ success in the appropriate context and focus on storytelling with data 
  • Oversee all tracking, QA and reporting across digital communications touchpoints 
  • Present reports and visualization in an easily digestible manner to non-analyst audiences, including internal teams and external customers 
  • Manage and resolve the key data issues involving quality and consistency of data for analytical purposes 
  • Occasionally represent the Granicus Experience Group in speaking roles, panel participation, webinars, workshops and client outreach, as well as attend and participate in industry conferences and workshops throughout the U.S. as needed. 

  • You will love this role if you have / are:
  • 5+ years of digital marketing analysis, working with external customers, preferably in a digital or consulting agency serving government or at a government agency with a focus on large communications programs 
  • Mastery of analyzing and interpreting data from digital communications, including the Granicus family of products, email marketing, website analytics, social networks, surveys, websites to the next new thing. 
  • Demonstrate strong ability to combine analytical and communications skills by storytelling through data, digesting data to derive insights and convey the narrative to clients in line with their goals. 
  • Have experience and/or enthusiasm for working with government 
  • Have experience leading reporting and dashboarding workstreams, and being client-facing 
  • Experienced in building out reporting tools and dashboard visualizations. Quicksight,  Tableau, Power BI experience a plus. 
  • Highly skilled in Excel, with a data-first mindset.  
  • Ability to think quickly and critically on a broad range of marketing technology and digital marketing topics across various verticals.

  • Passion for public service, citizen engagement, and communication. 
  • Due to security requirements, this position is currently open only to U.S. citizens. Additionally, you must have been a resident of the U.S. during at least three (3) of the last five (5) years. Exceptions are possible for applications who worked for the U. S. Government as an employee overseas in a Federal or military capacity; and/or been a dependent of a U.S. Federal or military employee serving overseas. Such applicants must be able to provide state-side reference coverage. State-side coverage information is required to make a suitability or security determination. 
  • Prior to the shutdown for the Covid-19 pandemic, GXG staff were expected to be available for on-site customer meetings with our federal, state and local customers. This included travel in some instances. As our customers' expectations and responses to the pandemic continue to evolve, GXG team members may once again be expected to be available for in-person customer meetings. 

  • Security Requirements:
  • Responsible for Granicus information security by appropriately preserving the Confidentiality, Integrity, and Availability (CIA) of Granicus information assets in accordance with the company's information security program.  
  • Must be able to obtain Special Sworn Status, including having lived in the U.S. or its territories for 36 out of the past 60 months. Once cleared and approved for access, all researchers must continue to reside in the U.S. or its territories.
