Job description

Are you tech savvy and passionate about tooling and organisation? We are looking for a technically skilled Tools Administrator to manage and optimize our suite of enterprise software tools to support the product and development team for product operations 

We use Salesforce, Optimizely, and WalkMe, however we are open seeing experience with any CRM, marketing automation, product management,  product instrumentation and onboarding tools.  

In this role, you will oversee vendor relationships and contracts, ensuring alignment with business needs and budgets. You will also support software delivery teams by maintaining, configuring, and enhancing technical tools to drive efficiency and innovation. 

Ideally we would like this role to be hybrid onsite in our Westbrook, ME office but we are also open to remote.  

This role will sit within our IDEXX Veterinary Software product portfolio. With a focus on software solutions, we are dedicated to enhancing the health and well-being of pets, people, and livestock around the world. Through the power of the cloud, our solutions simplify the flow of information across any practice and link vets to what they need when they need it. Patient data. Client communications. Business insights. All at their fingertips.

A bit more about the role, you will:  

Vendor & Contract Management: 

  • Manage vendor relationships and software contracts, including negotiations, renewals, and compliance tracking. 

  • Evaluate new tools and vendors to ensure optimal solutions for business needs. 

 

Software Administration & Support: 

  • Configure, maintain, and optimize tools like Salesforce, Optimizely, WalkMe, and other enterprise platforms. 

  • Troubleshoot issues, coordinate updates, and ensure system reliability. 

  • Collaborate with product management, IT and software delivery teams to integrate and streamline workflows. 

 

User Support & Training: 

  • Provide and coordinate technical support and training to end-users. 

  • Develop documentation and best practices for tool usage and administration. 

 

Process Improvement & Innovation: 

  • Identify opportunities to enhance existing tools and workflows. 

  • Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies. 

 

So what are we looking for? 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience). 

  • 3+ years of experience in software administration, vendor management, or IT support. 

  • Experience with Salesforce, Optimizely, WalkMe, and similar enterprise tools. 

  • Strong project management and communication skills. 

  • Ability to collaborate across departments and influence stakeholders. 

  • Certifications in Salesforce or WalkMe administration preferred! 

  • Experience working in Agile or software delivery environments. 

  • Knowledge of IT procurement and contract negotiation best practices
