About the team:
The FACT (Fraud, AML, and CrediT) Data Science & Engineering team consists of data scientists and analytics developers with diverse educational backgrounds. The team is responsible for delivering advanced analytics to support data-driven risk management and financial valuations at Wealthsimple. The team is staffed with seasoned data experts and well supported by product managers, software developers, and risk strategists.
We are hiring a data scientist for the FACT DSE team. You will be responsible for the design and execution of product experiments and building robust machine learning pipelines that drive key product decisions at Wealthsimple. A successful data scientist is able to blend expertise in experimental design, predictive modelling and software engineering while effectively communicating with stakeholders.
What you will do: Design and execute product experiments to help improve Wealthsimple’s client experienceProductionize and make continuous improvements to some of Wealthsimple’s flagship machine learning modelsBuild a repository of machine learning features to support a variety of advanced analytics tasks across the businessTranslate experimental results into products and solutionsEnsure models are well tested, documented and maintainedBelieve that simple is better, Occam's razor is your friendTake ownership and ship it; release incrementally and iterativelyTeach and learn from your teammates.
