Role Description

As a Finance Director at CapsLock, you will be responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of the fast-growing marketing business, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, and providing strategic guidance to support our business goals. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and extensive financial expertise. 

This role will report to the Chief Finance Officer of the Company.


Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Team leadership: Lead and mentor bookkeeping, FP&A, and taxation/compliance teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
  • Accounting: Oversee accounting. Lead implementation and improvement of financial and accounting policies/practices. 
  • Budgeting: Oversees budgeting process. Supervise plan/fact analysis and provide explanations and recommendations.
  • Reporting: Ensure timely and accurate financial, and investment reporting for the Group of Companies 
  • Internal Controls and Audits. Assist with developing and maintaining robust internal controls. Lead internal audits to ensure compliance with established financial procedures.
  • Tax and Compliance: Oversee tax filings, regulatory reports, and compliance with statutory obligations. Tax planning and optimization for the group
  • M&A transactions: Navigate the complexities of mergers and acquisitions including initial financial assessments, Due Diligence, and post-merger integration.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously improve financial processes, systems, and financial reporting to enhance the efficiency, accuracy, and strategic relevance
  • Stakeholder Communication: Provide insights and recommendations on financial performance and key financial metrics to the executive team
  • Third-party Communication: Manage relationships with banks, tax advisories, and external consultants

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA, CPA, ACCA preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in finance, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Experience with financial reporting, month-end / year-end processes, and IFRS/GAAP compliance.
  • Proven track record in financial planning, analysis, and management within a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with executive management and external stakeholders.
  • Proactive nature, growth mindset, self-regulation.
  • Fluent English.
  • Ability and desire to work collaboratively with a diverse, remote global team.
