About the role

The Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team supporting the ASA business is on the front line of Zillow Group’s planning and critical initiatives, so you will work on some of the company’s high visibility projects. Working in close collaboration with the business, this team is responsible for overseeing the monthly forecasting, annual operating planning, and financial modeling for new business opportunities and growth initiatives. We are looking for a Sr Manager to join the FP&A team supporting our ASA business. This role requires an analytical, meticulous, and proactive candidate with extraordinary attention to detail and a strong desire to explore various aspects of the business. You must be comfortable with ambiguity while working in a fast-paced dynamic environment. If you are not afraid of working with large amounts of data, you’ll get the chance to make it all come together into meaningful metrics used to make strategic business decisions.

Responsibilities
  • Partner closely with our business leaders, executive team members, and product management to ensure we are making the right decisions today for balanced, thoughtful, and efficient long-term growth.

  • Develop scalable financial models or reports that align and simplify monthly business reviews, forecasting, and annual planning processes.

  • Work closely with sales leaders across capacity planning, quota target setting, financial modeling and calculating return on investment on head counts and quota target.

  • Provide critical insights and models to improve forecasting and pipeline management to accurately project revenue & sales results, while identifying gaps or areas for opportunity.

  • Support sales leaders on resource allocation framework across regions and market segments to increase return on investment.

  • Partner with Business Operations leaders on various analyses, finding opportunities to drive incremental revenue, reduce expense, and govern the balance between short term and long term trade off.

  • Be responsible for the headcount planning and management for ASA within our Anaplan planning tool and provide monthly reporting on hiring against plan for senior management review.

  • Ensure alignment across FP&A and business partners on key processes, timelines, and deliverables.

  • Build and provide important weekly/ monthly and ad-hoc reporting or analysis to share fact-based insights on variances and trends.

  • Prepare ad hoc analysis and reporting to support key strategic initiatives/ special projects.

This role has been categorized as a Remote position. “Remote” employees do not have a permanent corporate office workplace and, instead, work from a physical location of their choice, which must be identified to the Company. U.S. employees may live in any of the 50 United States, with limited exceptions.

In California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Nevada, New York, Washington state, and Washington DC the standard base pay range for this role is $127,100.00 - $203,000.00 Annually. This base pay range is specific to California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Nevada, New York, Washington state, and Washington DC and may not be applicable to other locations.

In addition to a competitive base salary this position is also eligible for equity awards based on factors such as experience, performance and location. Actual amounts will vary depending on experience, performance and location.

Who you are
  • Minimum 7-10 years of work experience in FP&A with extensive experience working with sales/GTM and business operations leaders within the technology industry

  • Successful transition from investment banking / consulting into FP&A is preferred

  • Leadership: Proven track record of leading and developing high-performing teams with a focus on getting results and fostering a collaborative environment

  • Analytical Skills: Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach to decision-making; experience in building complex financial models is a must

  • Strategic Approach: Ability to translate business goals into clear financial goals with track record of navigating complex, constantly evolving environment

  • Communication: Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills with experience working with cross functional leadership teams

  • Additional desired software experience includes Workday, Anaplan, Tableau or Mode Analytics
