Job description

Overview:

The Project Manager Senior Transcriptionist Lead will oversee transcription operations across multiple contracts, ensuring high-quality delivery, compliance with client specifications, and effective team coordination. This role requires strong transcription expertise and a foundational understanding of management principles to support project planning, resource allocation, and performance monitoring. Work Schedule and Location:

Remote: This full-time remote position will work Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM.

Responsibilities:
  • Transcription Services: Transcribe audio, video, and written materials into English and other languages with exceptional accuracy and attention to detail, maintaining a high proficiency in technical and complex content, including legal and contractual documents.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure all transcriptions are factually accurate, free of omissions or additions, and adhere to specified formats (hardcopy or electronic). Perform proofreading and editing to deliver polished and professional results.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor a team of transcriptionists, providing guidance, performance feedback, and training to maintain high standards of quality and efficiency.
  • Project Management: Coordinate transcription projects across multiple contracts, managing deadlines, monitoring workloads, and allocating resources effectively.
  • Client Interaction: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and government leadership, providing status updates and ensuring satisfaction with services delivered.
  • Collaboration: Partner with translators, interpreters, and other linguistic professionals to ensure consistency and accuracy across deliverables.
  • Confidentiality: Uphold strict ethical standards and confidentiality protocols in handling sensitive and classified information.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement process enhancements to improve accuracy, efficiency, and overall team performance.

 

 

Qualifications:
  • Citizenship: U.S. citizenship, by birth or naturalization, is required.
  • Background Clearance: Ability to pass a U.S. Government background investigation.
  • Language Proficiency: Fluency in English with demonstrated high proficiency in listening, speaking, reading, and writing. Proficiency in additional languages is highly desirable.
  • Certifications: Certification in transcription services with a proficiency rating of 3 or above in all linguistic competencies.
  • Experience: A minimum of five years of experience as a professional transcriber, with expertise in technical, legal, and contractual transcription.
  • Software Proficiency: Familiarity with transcription tools, software, and technologies.
  • Leadership: Prior experience in leading teams or managing projects is preferred.
  • Skills: Exceptional organizational, communication, and time-management skills.

 

Work Environment:
The Project Manager Senior Transcriptionist Lead will work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment requiring adaptability and the ability to manage competing priorities effectively. Position is remote with some face-to-face interactions.
