Job description

Who We Are - MANSCAPED® is a leading men’s grooming and lifestyle consumer brand on a mission to introduce and elevate a whole new self-care routine for men. What began as the category creator of below-the-waist grooming has quickly evolved into a global omnichannel powerhouse available around the world on manscaped.com, Amazon, and in major retailers including Target®, Walmart, and Best Buy. As a company, we’re more than just ball jokes (though, rest assured, there’s plenty of those). We proudly uphold seven core values – accountability, authenticity, collaboration, fun, humility, inclusivity, and innovation – which define our brand identity and drive our success. As a people-centric employer brand, we are deeply committed to fostering the growth, happiness, and holistic well-being of each individual on our team.

Who We’re Looking For - Reporting to the Senior Director, Product Management, Hard Goods, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Packaging Engineering Manager, Hard Goods to join our dynamic team. In this role, the ideal candidate will leverage their expertise in packaging engineering to lead the design, development, and implementation of innovative packaging solutions. Their work will ensure the integrity, quality, sustainability, and cost effectiveness of our products while meeting customer requirements (both retail sales channel and end user) and regulatory standards.

Keys to Success - As a member of the Product Management team, success will be measured based on three key actions. 1) Doing your job; setting and meeting appropriate goals that ladder up to the long-term Company vision and the short-term Company targets. You are expected to align on these goals with your manager and then deliver on them. 2) Doing Your Job, the Right Way; At MANSCAPED® we strive to be ideal team players. That means striving to live up to the Humble, Hard Working & Smart framework. 3) Engaging (in both directions) with Radical Candor in a way that seeks to improve the performance of yourself and the team around you.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the creation and development of packaging designs, ensuring they meet functional, durable, aesthetic, and cost-effective criteria
  • Evaluate and select appropriate materials for packaging to ensure product safety, quality, and sustainability
  • Lead the formulation of testing criteria and methodology, in partnership with external packaging service providers and contract manufacturers, to validate that packaging materials and designs comply with industry standards and regulations
  • Work closely with suppliers to ensure new packaging development projects meet MANSCAPED® and industry standards, and are delivered on schedule and within budget
  • Stay current with industry trends, regulations and emerging technologies, driving innovation in packaging solutions and sustainability initiatives
  • Implement and maintain quality control processes to ensure packaging standards are met throughout the development and production cycles
  • Maintain detailed documentation of packaging specifications, test results, and project progress
  • Partner closely with Demand Planning and Operations to define shipping carton requirements (quantity, weight, dimensions, etc.), ensuring compliance with all customer requirements in all sales channels; clearly communicate these requirements to our contract manufacturing partners and confirm they are adhered to
  • Other duties as required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Packaging Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred
  • 7+years of experience in packaging engineering, with a focus on design, development, and project management
