We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Systems Engineer to join our growing IT team. This is a key role in ensuring the stability, security, and efficiency of our critical IT infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
Design, implement, and maintain server, network, and storage infrastructure.
Install, configure, and troubleshoot hardware and software components.
Monitor system performance, identify and resolve issues proactively.
Ensure system security through implementation and maintenance of security measures (e.g., firewalls, intrusion detection systems).
Participate in system upgrades and migrations.
Document system configurations and procedures.
Provide technical support to end-users.
Collaborate with other IT team members on projects and initiatives.
Stay current with the latest technologies and industry best practices.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in systems administration or a related IT role.
Strong understanding of server operating systems (e.g., Windows Server, Linux).
Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
Knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
Experience with system monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
US Citizenship or Green Card Holder required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell).
Relevant industry certifications (e.g., CompTIA Server+, Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer).
Experience with ITIL or other IT service management frameworks.
