SUMMARY
Conduct filed and office audits in support of the AMPP Accreditation program. Audit AMPP training programs as assigned.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned..
- Conduct filed and office audits of organizations (e.g. coating contractors, blast and paint shops, coating inspection firms) to verify compliance with AMPP-SSPC qualifications procedures (e.g. QP 1. QP 2, QP-3, QP 5, QP 8, QS 1, QN 1 and others) and associated aministrative programs IAW the Auditor SOP. (Minimum of 65 audits/training delivery events per year and submit audit reports in a timely manner in the proper format)
- Audit AMPP training programs as assigned. Verify instructor(s) compliance with AMPP administrative procedures and adherence to technical content.
- Proctor AMPP Craftworker Certification Exams (e.g. C-7, C-12, C-13, CAS, ACAS, CCA) as assigned.
- Verify audited companies are compliant with current industry standards as cited in contracts, specifications, regulations, product data sheets, etc.
- Represent AMPP Accreditation at industry meetings/conferences regarding technical and regulatory issues as assigned.
- Support AMPP Accreditation Management to improve and implement the development, implementation and administration of all QP accreditation programs.
- Ability and experience to in working remotely with a high degree of autonomy and responsibility to complete audits on time using a predetermined format with out daily direct supervision.
- Complete audit reports and other related documents on a timely basis, report the status of work and travel schedules to QP Management in a timely manner.
- Complete AMPP or other assigned training on QP accreditations and programs
- Conduct at least one audit in each assigned accreditation category under the observation of the QP management or their assigned representative.
- Instruct AMPP training programs and certification course (if qualified and approved) as directed.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
No supervisory responsibilities required for this role.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

- Organization and corordination of audits. Individual must be able to develop and work within a weekly schedule, making cost effective and efficient travel arrangements. Individual should have the ability to handle multiple assignments, write detailed and accurate audit reports that are submitted I a timely manner.
- Individual will have the ability to interface with members, owners, contractors, inspectors and their representatives at job sites and offices respectively.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
75% travel is required for this role and a Passport is required.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- Minimium: AMPP CIP Level II or AMPP Protective Coating Specialist in good standing. CIP III is desireable. AMPP C3/C5 certifications are required and must be attained within the first 60 days of employment. OSHA 30 hour training is required and must be attained within the first 60 days of employment. Speciality certifications and training such as AMPP SSPC Concrete Coating Inspector, Metalizing, OCAT and SCAT training is desireable.
- Meet the experience requirements of the AMPP/SSPC Competent Person/Supervisor for Deleading of Industrial Structures
- Minimum of five (5) years full time experience in the industrial coatings industry, preferribly conducting technical quality or safety audits, coating and lining inspections services or related work.
- Completed a two day (16 hour minimum) course on the Principles of Auditing or equivalent.
- Experience in using Microsoft Office and industry related software is desireable.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write technical standards and reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, members, employees of the organization, customers, and the general public.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, etc. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Ability to develop and interpret business graphs.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, verbal, diagram, or schedule form.
OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES
Must possess a specific level of communication skill both verbal and written. Have demonstrated personnel management skills including, but not limited to, the ability to evaluate staff performance and provide direction, is highly desirable. Ability to work in a multitask environment taking into account various external factors and to communicate efficiently and accurately to both managers/supervisors and subordinate staff.
Must be computer literate with knowledge and experience in word processing and spreadsheet softwares. Ability to learn and use association specific software.
