POSITION SUMMARY:

As the Brand Social Media Associate, you will play a key role in the execution and activation of social media strategies for assigned brands. Reporting to the Brand Social Media Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of social media accounts, including posting, copywriting, and community engagement. Your primary focus will be to ensure the seamless implementation of social media campaigns, maintain a cohesive brand presence, and consistent interaction with audiences to foster meaningful connections.

 

This role supports the Brand Social Media Manager in managing social media for the SKLZ, Balega, Harbinger and Perfect brands. This is a hybrid role with expectations to work from the Carlsbad, CA office, as requested.

 

Essential Job Function:        

  • Execute posting schedules across all active social media platforms, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of content.
  • Write compelling and on-brand copy for posts, captions, and replies to foster audience engagement.
  • Actively monitor and engage with followers, responding to comments and messages to build community and enhance brand loyalty.
  • Assist in creating and curating content that aligns with the brand voice, identity, and campaign objectives.
  • Coordinate with the Brand Social Media Manager and Creative teams to ensure all content meets established standards and aligns with broader marketing strategies.
  • Conduct research on social media trends, audience behavior, and competitive activity to help inform content creation and engagement tactics.
  • Track and report on social media metrics, identifying areas for improvement and providing actionable recommendations.
  • Support influencer and creator collaborations by coordinating assets, timelines, and deliverables.

Other Functions:

  • Stay up-to-date with emerging social media platforms, tools, and trends to bring fresh and current ideas to the team.
  • Apply brand consistency across all channels by following established guidelines and maintaining a cohesive aesthetic.
  • Assist with internal requests for social media content to support retail promotions, events, or other marketing initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance community engagement and grow social media audiences.

Minimum Qualifications: Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • Experience managing social media accounts across platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, X, TikTok, and YouTube.
  • Strong copywriting skills with the ability to craft engaging, audience-specific messaging.
  • Familiarity with social media tools.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and executing tasks independently.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications:     

  • 2+ years of experience in social media marketing, content creation, or a related role.
  • Basic knowledge of social media analytics tools and metrics.
  • Exposure to influencer partnerships and/or content creation workflows.
  • A creative mindset and enthusiasm for exploring new trends and tools.

Education & Experience:

A Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or a related field is preferred. Equivalent experience in social media management or marketing will be considered.

Relevant Working Conditions & Physical Demands:                    

  • Hearing: Ability to effectively communicate with co-workers, customers and vendors.
  • Operate: Write, type and use the telephone, copier, and computer systems.
  • Mobility: Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, attend meetings, etc.
  • Communicate: Ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand.  Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
  • Exposed: Standard climate-controlled office setting

Salary Range: $40k-$50k
