Job description

Your career is an investment that grows over time!

Wealthsimple is on a mission to help everyone achieve financial freedom by reimagining what it means to manage your money. Using smart technology, we take financial services that are often confusing, opaque and expensive and make them transparent and low-cost for everyone. We’re the largest fintech company in Canada, with over 4 million users who trust us with more than $50 billion in assets.

Our teams ship often and make an impact with groundbreaking ideas. We're looking for talented people who keep it simple and value collaboration and humility as we continue to create inclusive and high-performing teams where people can be inspired to do their best work.

About The Role:

As an Investment Representative, you will play a critical role in executing manual trades in collaboration with our Trade Desk while supporting the Client Success team. Our mission is to provide extraordinary client experiences that meet on-demand expectations while maintaining industry-leading compliance standards.

You will support clients across multiple channels (Phone, Chat, and Web) and flex into resolving complex client cases, particularly those involving margin trading and other advanced investment products.

In this role you will have the opportunity to:
  • Deliver an outstanding client experience by simplifying investment, personal finance, and stock trading concepts.
  • Execute key client tasks, including manual trades, in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Handle margin-related client inquiries and ensure clients understand margin trading rules, risks, and account requirements.
  • Identify operational improvements to enhance productivity and efficiency in trading processes.
  • Monitor, facilitate, and improve operational workflows while working closely with our back-office teams.
  • Develop training materials and share knowledge across Client Success teams.
  • Contribute to product enhancements by participating in feedback loops for new feature launches.
  • Bilingualism (French & English) is highly preferred.

  • Skills and experience we’re looking for
  • 2+ years of investment industry experience as an Investment Representative (IR) or similar role, preferably with margin trading experience.
  • Passion for financial services – you get the industry and want to be part of reshaping it.
  • Extreme attention to detail and precision in handling client trades.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial concepts in a simple, accessible way.
  • Strong analytical and prioritization skills – you understand what needs to be done and how to balance competing priorities effectively.
  • Comfortable working with data to analyze information and make informed decisions.
  • Tech-savvy mindset, with the ability to navigate multiple applications and leverage technology to enhance financial services.
  • Curiosity, energy, and enthusiasm for investing, with a deep understanding of wealth management, trading, and margin accounts.
  • Client-first approach – you thrive in client-facing situations and find joy in turning challenges into positive experiences.

  • Must Have Credential Requirements
  • Canadian Securities Course (CSC)
  • Conduct and Practices Handbook Course (CPH)
  • Derivatives Fundamentals and Options Licensing Course (DFOL)
