Job description

This is a remote position.

Job Highlights:
  • Contract type: Independent Contractor
  • Schedule: Flexible 20 hours a week, with weekly catch ups within Eastern business hours

Scope:
  • Handle bookkeeping for approximately 43 properties across multiple business entities
  • Manage financial records for eight LLCs and one S Corporation
  • Manage and reconcile rent collections from tenants and government agencies
  • Work with a jointly filed personal return in addition to business entities
  • Collaborate with external tax professionals during tax season
  • Adapt to company-specific processes and preferences

Responsibilities
  • Manage day-to-day bookkeeping tasks for multiple LLCs and an S Corporation using QuickBooks/Clearbooks
  • Process and organize incoming invoices and financial documents
  • Ensure accurate allocation of expenses and income across multiple entities
  • Prepare financial statements and reports for each entity
  • Assist in the preparation of tax returns for all entities
  • Maintain organized and accurate financial records


Requirements
  • Proven experience as a bookkeeper, preferably in property management or real estate
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks/similar accounting software and property management software
  • Strong knowledge of US accounting principles and tax regulations
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple entities simultaneously
  • Good communication skills for coordinating with company owners
