Job description

Please note: This role is offered as a full-time, hybrid, contractor position.

We're VOID Interactive, the kickass team behind the best-selling FPS game, Ready or Not. We're made up of some seriously talented individuals who love games and creating awesome content together. We’re on the look out for an IT Manager who can steer our tech infrastructure and support our growing global team.

As our IT Manager, you’ll be responsible for planning and overseeing all aspects of IT infrastructure and support across the organisation all across the globe. Working closely with our development, production, and leadership teams, you’ll ensure the right tools, security, and systems are in place for our team to thrive.

In this role, you'll be in charge of:

  • Overseeing cloud services, hardware procurement and system upgrades.
  • Collaboration with leadership to build short and long term roadmaps for IT initiatives, aligning with the companies objectives.
  • Keeping an eye on emerging technologies to ensure our studio stays ahead of the curve.
  • Coordination and mentorship of internal IT staff or contractors, ensuring clear task delegation and efficient workflows.
  • Management of relationships with external service providers; negotiating contracts and ensuring top-notch support.
  • Implementation and maintenance of security protocols, ensuring intellectual property and sensitive data remain safe.
  • Staying updated on industry regulations, privacy laws and compliance requirements.
  • Championing best practices, documentation, and training so our team can maximise productivity.

Here’s what you'll be bringing to the team:

  • Professional experience in IT management, systems administration, or a similar role.
  • Proven expertise with networks, servers, virtualisation, and cloud-based environments (Digital Ocean or equivalent).
  • Experience with Perforce and Linux.
  • Strong knowledge of security best practices, privacy regulations, and compliance standards (e.g., GDPR).
  • Proficiency in supporting remote or distributed teams, including troubleshooting off-site hardware and software issues.
  • Excellent communication skills - you can explain complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
  • A track record of mentoring and guiding IT staff.
  • A proactive mindset - you’re always looking for potential risks and improvement areas before they become critical.
  • Must be willing and able to travel on-site as business needs arise.

If this sounds like you, please submit your resume, portfolio, and an optional, brief cover letter outlining your relevant experience and why you are excited about this opportunity. We look forward to hearing from you and discussing how you can contribute to our mission of delivering exceptional gameplay experiences!

Please note that salary is determined based on the location of the applicant, market rates, and experience.
