Field Development Specialist - CB3 - NM Job Description

Working from a home office base in Perth, we now have a vacancy for an Axalta Drivus Consultant. Reporting to the Drivus Manager, this position will focus on process improvement for our end user customers. As a key adviser on how to improve processes and reduce cost, you will require excellent communication and listening skills as well as the ability to develop and maintain productive relationships with external and internal stakeholders.

This position will service customers in WA and therefore require some regional travel.

Your responsibilities will be as follows:

• Evaluate current processes, identifying opportunities for improvement. 
• Develop action plans in conjunction with the key stakeholders in the bodyshop.
• Measure and monitor progress against the plan.
• Provide financial analysis and reporting for the end user.
• Be part of the team that creates and facilitates network groups and meetings
• Assist sales team in proactively seeking new business opportunities
• Ensure that customer issues are dealt with in an efficient and appropriate manner

To be successful in this role you will need:

• Detailed understanding of body shop processes with a primary focus on the paint shop.
• At least 5 years’ experience in working with body shops or managing a large body shop.
• Demonstrated understanding of the relationships between body shops and insurance industry through extensive knowledge of the workings of the industry.
• Demonstrated understanding of how insurance companies, body shops and large Multi Shop Operators function.
• An understanding of the financial management of body shops.
• Knowledge of the LEAN approach in body shops
• Excellent networking skills and the ability to get results in a functional matrix environment.
• Excellent presentation & communication skills from dealing with the ability to deal on a one on one basis to presenting a lecture style environment.
• Good team player.
• Intermediate Microsoft Office skills and use of web driven applications.
