Job Description:

   

The Deal Manager role is critical in driving the successful execution of complex, high-value opportunities within the GEO. Acting as the central point of coordination, the Deal Manager ensures that all aspects of the deal lifecycle progress seamlessly from incipient opportunity stage to invoicing and revenue recognition. This position requires a strategic mindset, strong project management skills, and the ability to collaborate across functions to deliver optimal outcomes for the organization.

The Deal Manager provides professional solutions to the company end-users, dealers and service providers originating from unresolved escalated case issues received via telephone and written correspondence. Provide an escalation link for the company field employees, executives and channel regarding customer satisfaction issues including availability, price dissatisfaction, product safety issues, complaints with the company and/or its representatives, and complaints regarding an authorized dealer or channel.

The Deal Manager applies advanced subject matter knowledge to solve complex business issues and is regarded as a subject matter expert. Frequently contributes to the development of new ideas and methods. Works on complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of multiple factors. Leads and/or provides expertise to functional project teams and may participate in cross-functional initiatives. Acts as an expert providing direction and guidance to process improvements and establishing policies. Frequently represents the organization to external customers/clients. Exercises significant independent judgment to determine best method for accomplishing work and achieving objectives. May provide mentoring and guidance to lower level employees.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordination of complex & critical deals end to end ensuring they flow smoothly from the development stage until the invoice is sent, across all functions and route to markets.
  • Coordination of a selected complex and critical deals. 
  • Consultancy throughout the negotiation phase, helping bridge customer requirements and HPE standards and avoid possible issues in later stages (for example, deal setup, T&Cs, delivery timelines, PO, pricing or config requirements, customer requested documents etc). 
  • Support through issue resolution.
  • Proactive updates across the different stages of the deal.
  • Engagement with the right owners throughout the deal flow to anticipate actions and speed execution. 
  • Post-mortems on attended deals and a respective action plan worked together with the owners.

Education and Experience Required:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Management or equivalent
  • Typically 4-6 years experience
