Job description

Overview:

As Senior HR Compliance Analyst, you will be responsible for providing compliance support and regulatory guidance to ERMCO employees at locations in the United States, Mexico and Canada. You will partner with HR Leaders and other functional areas to ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and union agreements.  You’ll focus your efforts on several key areas including desk audits, I-9 audits and reviews, training, documentation, state laws, writing and refining policies, interactive process reviews, investigations and more.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide direction, guidance, and support to the HR Leaders at US and International Sites related to changes in legal and regulatory requirements at both the State and Federal level.
  • Advocate for needed changes in policy relative to changing trends and best practices.
  • Oversee the compliance of human resource programs including, but not limited to, compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; health and safety; and training and development.
  • Ensure training activities are provided for HR, Leadership, and employees related to regulatory and compliance needs such as ERISA, HIPAA, USERRA, FMLA, ADA, etc.
  • Ensure business units operate in compliance with state, local, and federal laws with regard to employment activities, documentation requirements, payroll processes, or other human resources related activities.
  • Manage other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or equivalent combination of education, certifications and experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience in an HR Compliance Analyst role.
  • Familiarity with HR laws at the state and federal level. Experience with international regulations (Mexico, Canada) is preferred but not required.
  • Strong computer skills, including familiarity with HRIS systems and skills with the Microsoft Suite - Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent multi-tasking abilities and robust attention to detail.
  • A high level of personal drive and a tendency to take great satisfaction in contributing quality work and making a positive impact.
  • Excellent written, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Solid ethic and a trustworthy approach, including ownership and accountability, honesty, discretion, loyalty and integrity.
  • This is a full-time remote role. You should be willing and able to travel approximately 30-40 percent of the time during the first year as you visit each site. From there, we anticipate travel to decrease significantly with just 1-2 visits to each site per year.
